SMOG Test - Drive Cycle Not ready for Heated Catalyst (HCAT)
This is driving me crazy. I need to do my drive cycles for my 2017 RR Sport TD6 to pass Cali emissions. I have managed to get all the monitors ready bar one. The HCAT monitor.
Have you found a proven solution to fix this?
I have looked into this extensively and still can't figure it out. On Landrover forums it provides 4 drive cycles that I have tried but I still can't get this one to test. I have no DTC's, 3/4 tank of gas and put 200 miles on the car today to try and work out this last monitor.
As far as I can determine, the Heater warms up the CAT's at cold start to improve emissions. Thus I assume I need to do this as a cold start. I have tried the AC and rear defroster cold start steps but it stays stubonly "not ready"
I do have an Autel, is there any diagnostic checks I can do to ensure the heater is working as it should?
