these are 2 of the deco sims from the 1850's Court Ball Decos II set by BatsFromWesteros. the other decosims are wearing cc items that have been uploaded by other creators (middle two sims are wearing the Beautiful Belle dress by teanmoon and the rightmost sim is wearing the Radiantly Ruffled dress also by teanmoon) but these two female sims in the first cropped image seem to be wearing dresses i cant actually find anywhere. the dresses look familiar, i think they may be frankenmeshes of various different creators' dresses.

the first/leftmost dress, white with asymmetrical flower details; looks like the bodice of the Bloome Gown by RUSTY_cc, and the pink/second dress look like the puff sleeves of the 1841 ball gown by vintage simstress, the bodice/neckline of the Katarina dress by sifix, and both dresses seem to be using the skirt from the 1848 velvet dress also by vintage simstress.

so my request is that someone help find these dresses if they are available for download somewhere, but if they arent (which i suspect is the case), im asking for someone who knows how to frankenmesh to create these dresses and post them somewhere. i'd ask BatsFromWesteros to upload the mesh themselves so someone to make it into a CAS item but they seem to be on hiatus and their last patreon post was from July 2023 😬 so it seems unlikely that they'd reply.

im looking for (mainly historical) wide brimmed hats with veils that hang over and around the face and head but i cant find any cc like this at all. and searching for "sims 4 veiled hat cc" mainly just yields actual veils in the hat category of cas, not veiled hats.

i posted earlier about a lighting and stereo glitch that seemed inherently linked to my current save asking if there was any way to solve it. i ended up deciding i should just start a new save, so now I’m in the process of transferring all my lots and households to a fresh blank save. but for some reason, i can't save my lots to the gallery at all. as you can see in the video, clicking the "save lot" button does nothing at all. this is so fucking annoying. i updated my whole game and all my mods after i was previously playing offline to avoid the bugs they introduced in their last "fix" so now i have the disappearing roof glitch. i thought playing offline was why i kept having the gallery ui glitch where library entries become unclickable, but it turns out that was an EA glitch they're claiming they're going to solve in the next "fix" on Tuesday. so now i'm genuinely stuck. how tf do i fix this so i can start building this new save file?? if the gallery doesn’t work online OR offline? is this another EA gallery glitch in addition to the ones already described or is this specific to me?

i recently noticed my foal has these creepy markings on its face and orange hooves. this freaked me out so i immediately entered CAS to fix/get rid of it, assuming it was some kind of mistagged cc or something. but i cant seem to get rid of it? even after removing all clothing/accessories, this stuff stays on there. it isn’t custom paint either (though this horse does have custom paint shading), i tried the "clear all" button in paint mode and also tried manually erasing it with the paintbrush but it didn’t come off at all. idk what else to do, i really like this horse and i have no idea what this could even be! i tried googling to see if anyone else had this issue but i can't find anything like it. please help, I’d really rather not delete this horse 🙏🥺

i really want to know how to fix my leg hyperpigmentation. there are multiple causes. i first started trying to tackle it 1-2 years ago because of old chickenpox scars from when i was a kid. since then there's been a flea infestation brought by my cat sitting on my bed back in 2025. my house and cat are now both thankfully free of fleas but they bit the ever-loving fuck out of my lower legs and left a bunch of dark spots in addition to the existing chickenpox scars. FWIW I’ve never really struggled with ingrown hairs, irritation, rosacea or acne anywhere on my body or face, most of my day-to-day skin issues boil down to dry/oily skin and picking brought on by the occasional zit or pimple. I’m 21F in case that's relevant.

I’m not super experienced in dealing with skincare, i don’t have a rigid routine and what little i am doing so far is not at all consistent. i don’t have a morning or evening routine, i just apply this stuff after drying myself off after showering.

• i have 7% glycolic acid from the ordinary, i use it on my face, neck, elbows with cotton pads and transferred some of it to a spray bottle to cover my lower legs with it and rub it in with my palms. i haven’t been washing off, should i be?
• i used the 0.5% retinol in squalane from the ordinary until it ran out and then recently moved onto the 1% version. i picked them since that’s what everyone seems to recommend for hyperpigmentation. used on the same areas listed before, but heavily focused on my face and legs. i do not use them as consistently as i probably should and I’m trying to work on that. i think there's been a small improvement, some of the dark spots near my ankles are lighter and have a ring of lighter skin surrounding them (ik my terrible phone camera makes it hard to see) so i think that means its working. i wish i had before pics to compare with but i don’t :(
• i bought some kojic acid soap and used it a couple of times a few months back but i was kinda spooked by some online claims that it's meant to be a "whitening" product (i don’t want to whiten my skin at all and I’m worried that I’d just be trading hyperpigmentation for random whiter patches on my legs instead if i keep using it), so i still have most of it left.
• for moisturiser i typically use any kind of Shea butter or cocoa butter, no specific brand that i gravitate to for this. no SPF

Lifestyle/Habits:
i don’t wear sun-cream at all bc I’m a total homebody/hermit who never goes outside ever unless its for uni and then i wear trousers completely covering my legs and tuck them into the closed-toed tall boots i wear for lab safety. i completely cover my upper body too and when I’m at home I’m just in my room with the blinds drawn so i basically never see the sun at all, sun-cream seems like a waste of money for someone with my lifestyle (plus it seems very expensive in the UK for the amounts they sell and most of them leave a white cast on darker skin).
i think i might have a mild skin picking issue; when the fleabites were happening i kept picking off the scars whenever i felt them form, i do this with my face too; just running my fingers over the skin until i feel anything that is dry/hard/not smooth or uniform with the rest of it and just scratching until it comes off. this was worse when i was a teenager and was the cause of most of the dark spots still on my face even now. i got a bunch of olive young patches on sale a while back and have taken to sticking them onto these areas to stop myself from messing with them, its worked so far but idk how much the matches actually do to heal the scars/picked scabs themselves.

Regarding the marks on my right leg:
i recently started using an at-home IPL. i got the Lumi 1 from roseskinco for my legs and arms. I’ve used it a couple times on my legs and initially everything seemed fine but a few days ago these dark small repeated streaks have appeared on my right shin and I’m wondering if this was the IPL. they literally appeared overnight and i was using the IPL for several weeks before. i used it more heavily on my right leg than my left at first to try and see the difference between the two. i haven't used it recently either (2-3 weeks at least) which is why its weird that its appearing now. i looked at the "safe" skin types on the website before buying it, as well as the reviews with photos attached and saw several customers + promo material with people with even darker skin than mine so i assumed it was fine? idk what to do about this, very concerning, hoping it's not permanent. nothing going on with my arms though, and the hair seems noticeably thinner there so that's cool.
the marks on my right calf (hard to photograph properly, i lift it briefly in the video) look like newly-forming stretch marks to me, is there even anything i can do about those?

so how do i fix my legs? i feel like all of these issues are just compounding and making it too overwhelming to solve at all. feeling kinda hopeless about this, seeing my skin in the mirror just seems like more motivation to always stay inside these days. i live in the UK and i don’t think the NHS covers dermatology issues, especially since all this seems cosmetic and not medical in nature.

(more images in the comments) idk whats going on with this tree. i dont have reshade or gshade and i havent noticed this occurring before, but this pink tree's leaves/petals have a dynamic black outline for some reason and it seems like a visual glitch. also, the palm trees have 2 big green rectangles crossing eachother in the middle

i noticed after my most recent session that my save files have different filename extensions than before "save.day.ver" and "save.week.ver". i check my folder frequently since i clear out files before/after every session (deleting cache files and images, old lastexceptions, old save files,etc) so im pretty familiar with all the filenames in the sims 4 folder and i've never seen ones like this containing the words "day" and "week". is this a recent change? or is there something wrong with my game?

i have a bunch of acanthus sims clothing cc and i've notices several pieces have broken bone assignment, causing sims wearing them to have their arms bend the wrong way or clip through themselves. i have blender and s4studio and i know how to extract the meshes from the packages and open them in blender but i dont know how to fix the bone assignment/vertex paint or whatever it's called. im hoping someone more experienced in cc creation can do this.

the file with the most egregious issue i've noticed is the AcanthusSims_CF_ChemisealaReine.package. child sims wearing it will have their arms bend unnaturally behind their backs while sitting in a dining chair or when bowing forward in cas as seen in the video. the file can be downloaded here. there is also a slight bone assignmient issue with the adult robe a l'anglaise dress, the left arm leans into the torso slightly
