Mental health & eczema

Wow sorry second post in a week, you can tell I’m going through a flare up.

Does anyone have any tips for managing their mental health when they’re in low skin moments? Any things you like especially doing that you find help? Any quotes that change your perspective?

I don’t want to leave the house because of how I feel (because of how I look), but I’m an extrovert. I have so many exciting plans over the next few days and I want to cancel them all.

Dermatologist referral experience and a “good skin” day

Hi all! Wondered if anyone who’s had a dermatology appointment could weight in!

I have a dermatologist referral (woohoo thank you NHS) but it’s in September.

I’m obviously hopeful that I won’t be in a flare up in 3 months time, but I’m slightly worried that if my appointment lands on a “good skin day” I won’t be taken as seriously? I obviously have photos of how extreme it can get, and equally can talk about the effects it has on my mental health.

But can the dermatologist see beyond a good skin barrier? (Lol)
