So I received my Step 2 score today, and got 222. As you can imagine I'm utterly shellshocked and heartbroken. What surprised me the most is that I was doing well In my NBME's and even scored 81% in the Free 120 a few days prior to the real deal.

I am currently doing rotations for IM in the USA, and will have 3 done by September( Miami, Houston, Milwaukee). Graduated last year. Might be able to publish a paper shortly, but haven't done too much work on my CV expect for a few shadowing gigs while prepping for steps.

Is there any chance I'll be able to match I the current cycle in IM? I'm not too picky on where I match ( ofc I'd prefer a city with things to do), but I really don't want to spend another year trying to match. Any advice on what I should do/focus on now ? and if there is any hope for me ?
