How much center console heat is too much.

Recently purchased a 1993 c4 with a 6 speed. On my trip home I realized how hot the console area got i’ve read its somewhat normal or that a lower shift boot may need to be replaced. Has anyone added extra insulation or just turned up the ac and not worry about it. I’ve also heard that because the exhaust runs right under there and it adds too it if i were to add some exhaust wrap to it could it help any.

What to do to prepare for flight training

My goal is to save about 75% of the cost of flight training (assuming about 60 hrs) which will take me about 4-5 months. In that time I want to prepare as much as possible. Im already doing sportys online ground school. I also plan on doing some reading like pilot handbook of aeronautical knowledge and FAR/AIM. Past that I dont know what else I could do to prepare. I know alot of people talk about chair flying but have also heard thats not something you do right away. Any advice is appreciated thank you.
