Resource guarding from other dog after almost 4 weeks together

Hi all! I have 2 dogs, 1 is a year old mixed breed named Waffles. She is predominately doberman and beagle, per DNA testing. Almost 4 weeks ago we brought home Noodle, a 9 month old pitbull mix (DNA pending) and they've been getting along great. Waffles has always been protective, anyone walks near the house, outside the car, she goes absolutely crazy but has never bit and spends time with other dogs at daycare twice a week. Recently, she has been showing a little more resource guarding toward Noodle and sometimes me. We've always been careful to make her drop things and not take it but she is getting cranky now if Noodle comes near her when they are both eating. I feel them separately or together and have no problem feeding them separately, but is this enough? Is there another way I should address this behavior ? I only have experience with positive reinforcement only, she knows commands well, I'm just not sure how to go about this part. Dog tax included. Waffles is the redder, thinner one.

Official foster fail

It's official! My Noodle guy belongs to me after 3 weeks. He is doing good and easing in, but he doesn't understand yet that we don't play with humans with our mouths. Any tips on fixing this are welcome. Turning and trying to remove myself from the play isn't working because he bites my butt. He does this to me and my daughter but not my husband and my son, lol. He is getting more gentle, I have worked on teaching,"gentle" with treats but even gentle nibbles from a 60lb baby are bruising me like crazy, lol.

Snoring/breathing hard

We have had our guy for 2 weeks, he is a shelter pup, so probably not full pittie but mostly. Technically he is still a foster so I am waiting to hear back from the shelter on this. I've never had this breed before nor have I had a dog his size (60lbs at 8 months) so everything is new for us.

He snores really loudly and breathes hard. Pants a ton and will drink gallons of water if allowed (I'm trying to slow down the drinking but not restricting). I was just curious if other pitties are heavy breathers/snorers. Dog tax included, he's the big one, lol.

Learning from local weather disasters - questions and thoughts.

I am in the Chicago area. We have recently had some insanely severe weather that have left people I know without power, and in some cases, water for multiple days. We were lucky to have only lost power for a total of 2 hours. I was thinking about what I could add to my preps to support a situation like this, which we have seen increasing yearly in the area and probably everywhere. Here are some questions and thoughts.

Can I store packaged firewood for a grill long term? I have some propane cook top but I have a grill that can take charcoal or wood that could be used if my freezer food needs to be cooked up from losing power. I've never stored firewood or anything like that, so what is the best way to keep this as part of my preps, preferably bug free for indoor storage.

Recently I discovered that our local forest preserves, (of which I have a loooot nearby, and I am close to brookfield zoo for any one who knows the area) have manual water pumps. I should print out a map of these in case we need to find them. My area is not on a well but my boss lives somewhere not too far that has a well and she had been out of water for almost 4 days. I could probably live without electricity but I need some contingency for water.

Brought home a new baby

Technically, fostering him for the next 2 weeks but I know we won't give him back, haha. He is such a sweetie but he's got a lot of puppy behavior, of course. Shelter says 8 months, he's been there almost 3. I just think he needed to be out of the shelter. The poor baby was just not supposed to be there. This is Noodle .
