I am a week in and on antivirals and last night was horrible. I had such a hard time sleeping between the pain and itching. I am trying to sleep now and same issue.

I am for sure on day 3 but could be a few more as I felt pain but didn’t notice any rash until Thursday in the shower. I was originally put on half dose antiviral Thursday evening due to caution with my kidneys. Friday dose 2 was the full dose and has been full dosing since. Just wondering when the pain, itching and spreading mellows with the medication??

I am a few days into my first shingles diagnosis. I really want to take a shower but the thought of a cold shower is triggering. Is a warm shower ok? I usually have it quite hot.
