If you could redesign the web browser from scratch today, what would you change?
I’m working on a new browser rn and I really don’t wanna end up making Chrome with a different skin💀So before we decide what actually goes into this thing, figured I’d ask the people who spend half their lives inside a browser lol.
What genuinely pisses you off about Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Brave, Arc etc? What’s one feature you’ve always thought “how tf does a browser still not have this?”
And with AI being shoved into literally everything now 😭 what would you ACTUALLY want AI to do in a browser? Not random AI buttons everywhere, but something you’d genuinely use.
Also curious about privacy/security. What would a new browser have to do for you to actually trust it and move your stuff over? Tabs, extensions, bookmarks, search, history, passwords, RAM eating 47GB for absolutely no reason 💀, syncing, automation, dev tools, UI… literally anything.
And give me the weird ideas too. Don’t worry about whether it sounds realistic. Basically, if Chrome/Safari/Firefox never existed and we were inventing the browser for the first time today…what would you build?
