Black to play, loose a game

Okay, I have a most ridiculous example from one of the games. I was black and played wrong. Advice for ddk like me -- protect those kind of weakness in advance!

What is usual fate of weak stones after double hane and cut?

Assume we have this position after double hane, that happens a lot. My question what is general strategic approach to this situation and what are expected consequences. Is it usually that both, 3,7 and 4 live so it is just an exchange, or, for example 4 is a just sacrify? Actually I would be interesting in usecases, some analysis, maybe classification, especially for ddk level. I don't speak about double hane on 2nd line, I feel this is some tesuji business that heavily depends on aji around, my question is about center, since it feels much more stable there, but I cannot figure out in which sense. Is it always sente for one of the opponents (which one btw? Should white continue with K8 on the screenshot or could tenuki?)? Is it "deterministic" or the follow ups are heavily dependent on surrounding? What are the development directions afterward?

Would be happy to see opinions from personal experience!

Help with joseki variation

I have a question about this variation for 4-4 joseki. 1-2-3-4-5-6 are normal moves, but then black's 7 is a wrong move, if I understand correctly (normally it would be P3). However, the following sequence is better for white only of they have ladder. Am I correct? What happens if this is not the case? Since it is a white choice to start this joseki with 4 instead of, say, Q2, the answer could be "don't play this joseki unless you have a ladder", but I'm not sure that this is true. Could someone provide more details about it?

Thanks in advance!

Edit: S3 for 11

Can someone give examples of multimove sente in the second phase of beginning of the game or middlegame?

My definition if a sente and a gote is a following recursive definition:

  1. Gote is a move that your opponent can ignore (= can play tenuki) or can play a sente move in the neighbourhood of your move.

  2. Sente is a move, so that your opponent must play a gote move in the neighbourhood of your move.

According to that definition I more or less understand the following:

  1. Most of joseki-s gives sente to one of the opponents (assuming I trust common knowledge and believe that joseki are extremely well understood by now)

  2. I do understand sente and gote in yose, where it is only about calculating the points (that does not mean that I actually do that, but I can solve some exercises with unlimited time), as well as early endgame (like moves on the second line)

  3. I do understand some moves in middle game that are clearly sente (peep to the one space jump, hane ahead of 2 or 3 stones), but usually the are very simple.

So, my very missing knowledge is those moves that are sente (or gote) in several moves. I'm very bad in predicting that, even for 2 or 3 moves, so I'm looking for some hints, some common situations and so on.

Thanks in advance!
