Background check company listed employment dates completely wrong

Not really sure what to put here I don’t usually post on Reddit but accepted a job offer a few weeks ago.

Everything on my application was up to date before and after my interviews. I’m currently doing my background check and I just got my results back. I have worked two different jobs in the past four years. Specifically on my background check my job from four years ago says I’ve been working there up to August 1st. I told HR I didn’t work for those dates and asked them why didn’t they check the actual dates listed on my background check and application. They then told me “because this is what it says you reported on your background check”.

For example job 1 was listed as 6/24 to 5/25 which has a one month discrepancy which isn’t a big deal.

Job 2 is listed as 7/25 to 1/26 BUT the back ground check says for job 1 I listed as 6/23-8/26 which you would think would be an obvious error as the dates are correct on the information I had given earlier.

I’m not sure why HR is giving me such a hard time. The background check company BIG also asked me for proof I went to high school which is insane as I’m only like 29 years old.

I’m waiting to hear back as the HR person is as working with pushed this to a higher up and I’m still confused why such a simple error is becoming a huge issue.

I did taxes for my friend and today he got a 1045 form after a cp05.What is the next step?

They have been waiting for months for their return and the IRS kept pushing things back. The IRS asked for him to fill out a 1045 and said the next update would be in 60 days.
