Evaluationg a job offer I received in Copenhagen

Hi everyone,

I'm a 27 (M) engineer with few years of experience (3+). I've just received a job offer from an international company for a Junior Project Manager role based in Copenhagen and I struggle grasping if the opportunity is as good as it sounds

Here are the terms:

  • 550,000 DKK per year (I don't know if pension is included or not yet)
  • Accommodation provided (one bedroom apartment from what they told me)
  • Transport (car) provided (Sadly the car is necessary for that role, because i'd need to go on multiple construction sites througout the week, and they are all distant from each other)

My questions for those who know the Danish market:

Is 550,000 DKK a fair salary for this type of role and experience level? After doing some research on Danish taxation, between the flat tax, AM-bidrag and the potential tax on accommodation and transport benefits, I am wondering how much actually ends up in my pocket and whether the salary is truly competitive once everything is accounted for

How are accommodation and company car typically treated for tax purposes in Denmark - as taxable benefits in kind or company expenses? Because it's an international company and they do not have finished creating their entity in Denmark so my contract will be taken care of by compliance partners

Any red flags or things I should watch out for? I'm from France and the offer sounds great but maybe I'm missing something ? Is there anything I shoukd be aware of ?

Thanks everyone
