Something like the kind of touristy place I might have stepped into while doing other stuff. …Actually, the center display vaguely reminds me of the Shell Factory in Fort Myers…which I only just learned less than a minute ago was demolished 😭
I decided to do something different this year-and actually have a layout to present by the end of the month. I was inspired by the video for Norma’s cookie-specifically by the hyacinth patches, of all things-and decided to throw in some of the sakura stuff while keeping it fairly freeform. Well, looks like I liked the framework enough to build on it? And the magical spring terrain sky pulled it all together in a way I didn’t expect, so there’s some bonus shots at the end of different lighting.
April 2026 summary: 10 (!) cookies completed, for a total of 11/14-I’m sure it helped that I finished last year with an annoying string of 9/10’s and 8/10’s. More outfits, not many more walls/floors. Had a good run on reissue material and finished every non-replayable set give or take a few LT items. I struggled to keep request items in my inventory, though-busy IRL.
I still intend to finish the left side of my existing sakura park design…eventually, and probably with some of Lucy’s cookie items since a lot of them don’t even have “ground” texture that would clash with that pale grass. I’m not super looking forward to the remaining May cookies I don’t already have, but I’m enjoying how this year feels more relaxed since I already scraped up a lot of my big wishlist items last year.
