The map has a shape now. Bases have gone up, and a few have already come down. The radios are busier and a lot harder to trust. The gear is out there, it's just changed hands a few times on the way to your backpack.

Spawn in today and you're not behind. You're walking into a world that's already moving. It's dangerous.

RedPine is hard. We're proud of that.

You will not be fully kitted in an hour here. The AI hunts you. It flanks, it breaches doors, it pushes you the second you start to reload. You are going to die, and some of those deaths are going to be the best stories you've got in years.

This week... Something changed in the bunker.

Somebody sabotaged the punch card reader. Fried it. That card you went through hell to track down? You can't use it where you used to.

There's still a way in. It runs through a facility right next to the bunker. That facility sits in the gas, the power is out, and it is pitch black inside. You will need to go in, find a new card reader. Open the door. That's the plan.

Is this place dangerous? You betcha. Is it scary? Absolutely. That's exactly what we built it to be. You're in the dark, you're in the gas, you're on the clock, and you are not in there alone.

Why now is a great time to join

• The map talks now. Some towns mean trouble. Some frequencies mean a trap. Learning that keeps you breathing.
• Loot is moving. Three weeks of raids, deaths, and forgotten stashes means there's gear out there for anyone willing to go get it.
• Bases exist, which means bases fall. Raid windows are live (schedule below).

Base Raiding Schedule

To give everyone a fair chance to defend what they've built, raiding is limited to specific windows. Four days a week, two windows per day (all times Central):

Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday

• 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Outside these windows, your base can't be damaged. Inside them, all bets are off. People have had three weeks to build. Draw your own conclusions.

Airdrops?

During peak hours, you may hear a supply plane overhead. Getting there is the easy part. Leaving alive with the loot is where things get interesting.

When many of us first started playing DayZ, there was always that uneasy feeling in the back of your mind. The fear that something was about to happen.

Over the years, that feeling disappeared for a lot of servers.

We built RedPine to bring it back.

Imagine This

You and your friend are following the Red Trail at night.

It's actually dark on RedPine. In the trees, you can barely see a thing.

Up ahead, you notice flickering light dancing through the forest.

A campfire.

Your stomach sinks.

Someone is either here right now, or they were here recently enough that the fire hasn't gone out.

You split up and move in slowly.

Thunk.

A crossbow bolt slams into the tree beside you.

A rifle cracks somewhere to your right.

Your friend yells out.

Another shot.

Then silence.

Bushes rustle ahead.

A woman in a ghillie suit steps into the open for a better angle.

You shoulder your rifle and fire.

She drops.

You sprint toward your friend and find a man in hunting gear rifling through his backpack. You squeeze the trigger.

He falls.

Now you're alone somewhere along the Red Trail, heart pounding, wondering how many more are still out there.

Our Philosophy

RedPine is built to keep Chernarus feeling like Chernarus while bringing back the uncertainty and tension that made DayZ special.

We wanted a server that feels close to vanilla DayZ, but with many of the features players remember loving or always wished existed.

• Military areas should feel dangerous.
• You should have to work for your gear.
• Running into another survivor should make your hands shake.
• You shouldn't be able to sprint into NWAF, grab endgame loot, and walk out uncontested.

That's the experience we're aiming for.
