NextUI pre-release for Miyoo Flip
I have been working on the Miyoo Flip branch of NextUI to bring it in line with the other supported devices, and it has now reached feature parity.
For those who don't know, NextUI is a fork of MinUI developed originally for TrimUI devices, which combines advanced features with the simplicity of MinUI. It uses minarch as its main emulator frontend instead of RetroArch, which allows better integration with the system. This pre-release supports all of the features you can expect from NextUI such as:
- WiFi and Bluetooth audio
- Installation of Paks through the Pak Store
- Offline RetroAchievements
- UI customization
On Miyoo Flip specifically, most hardware features are supported such as suspend on lid close (including deep sleep), HDMI out, etc.
This can be installed by following the instructions at https://nextui.loveretro.games/getting-started/installation/. For Miyoo Flip specifically however, make sure to use an SD card formatted as FAT32 (not exFAT) with an MBR partition scheme.
I am looking forward to your feedback to find any remaining bug. In case of any bugs, do not report them on the official NextUI GitHub, but on my GitHub or on the official Discord in the miyoo-flip channel.
Edit: There's a new pre-release which allows to reach lower brightness and volume values https://github.com/apommel/NextUI/releases/tag/v6.14.0-rc.2%2Bmy355
