Jean Montero wins the Euroleague Playoffs MVP

After a legendary series against Panathinaikos, helping Valencia come back from 0-2 and go to their first F4, Jean Montero is named the 2026 Euroleague Playoffs MVP

He averaged 18.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 26.8 PIR in the series with a legendary game 4 where he had 29 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 45 PIR, making playoffs history, surpassing Luis Scola who held the previous playoff record with 43 PIR for Tau Ceramica (today's Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz) in April 2005, and tied the highest PIR in any Euroleague postseason game held by Alphonso Ford for Peristeri and Carlton Myers for PAF Bologna, both in the 2000-01 season

Official Final 4 schedule

The first semifinal will be between Olympiacos and Fenerbahce in May 22nd at 18:00 (local time) and the second semifinal will be between Valencia and Real Madrid in May 22nd at 21:00 (local time)

The final will be in May 24th at 21:00 (local time)

Happy (very late) birthday to one of the most iconic photos in history

On May 8th-9th 1945 Nazi Germany unconditionally surrendered to the Allied forces, signaling the ending of WW2 in Europe

This photo was taken on May 2nd by Yevgeny Khaldei and it depicts Soviet soldiers planting the Soviet flag atop the Reichstag building in Berlin, which was home to the Nazi party's federal parliament

This is probably the most iconic WW2 picture and one of the most iconic images in history, showing that no matter how hard it gets, fascism will never win

Rytas are the Basketball Champions League winners

Rytas managed to make a legendary comeback against AEK after losing by 18 at the end of the 3rd quarter, send the game to overtime and win the trophy
