Card request
When are you able to request cards cards from the Epic group of players? I think someone said Saturday, but when exactly on Saturday?

Even though I've played this game for several months, I'm still finding out things about it. I just very recently joined a new team. What does this screen tell me, especially the red circle?
And can we change our name? I was assigned 48980, but would like to actually put a name on here.
Like, it says Favorite Card - Tom. I don't even start Tom anymore.
Thanks for the advice and explanations!
As a dedicated grinder, I make it a point of honor to not pay for anything on the game. However, I broke my rule, and now I think I was used a bit. Here's the situation: I have level 11 Tom on 2B. Unfortunately, he's only 1/10 on the way to level 12, so Jesus will come back before that happens. I have Martin on the bench at level 11. With both Tom and Martin at level 11, Tom is much better contact AND power. However, at level 12, Martin is his equal and, actually, a smidge better at batting. Martin is already much faster and a better fielder, plus you get a bonus playing him at SS or 2B. So, I really wanted to level Martin up. He was at 78/100. They are running a special this month on Martin, 20 points for $4.99. So, I bit. My kid doesn't need his insulin. That got me to 98/100. THEN, I got an offer to "Time to level up Martin!" for $14.99. Fuck that. But I'm thinking they are not going to let me get Martin on the daily sales or in a chest, at least until the offer is gone.
On a related note, it's the same players every day, but rarely any in my starting squad, that appear in chests or on sale. Like Brock, for instance. I don't like Brock because he looks just like a guy I grew up with in Columbia, Tennessee that I didn't like. But he appears every single day. Meanwhile, Murray has languished for weeks with no bump.
Your experiences?
I was just matched against an opponent... pretty sure a bot... with level 14 Meiling as the pitcher. The strange thing was, her W-L record was 78-74. Now, I understand usage and levels don't necessarily correspond, but it seemed a very high ranking for someone with only 150 starts. The other players were 12-13s.
As you can see, I'm level 10/mid-Platinum with occasional drops to upper gold. I have three level 13s. Lately, though, I've been paired against mostly level 14 teams... a couple with only level 14 players. My winning % has dropped from around 66% to probably 40%. Has anyone else noticed the leveling up of opponents (and I'm convinced a vast amount of the games are against bots, not humans)?
Addendum: if you lost 1-0 in 10 innings against me last night, my apologies. My Alexandra was out by at least 2-3 feet at the plate, but somehow they called her safe. She wasn't.

Who do you think has the most difficult pitch to consistently hit? A Maria slider? A Shotaro sweeper? A Michelle curve?
If your lead-off batter, presumably fast like Phoenix or Fox, reaches first, and the first throw by the pitcher is a pick-off attempt, do you automatically send your runner on the next pitch?
I've just stuck with Murray, currently heating Level 12, but I would like your experience and opinions with other catchers. I bat him 8th, so he doesn't get a lot of PA, but he's contributed a few homers. His arm is so-so. Should I stay with him or do you recommend leveling up someone else? My pitcher is Michelle level 13.
This would be awesome for some of the great bat/bad glove (or just fat & slow) players. My choice would be Dave, whose bat has produced many a home run, but is an absolute detriment in the field. He's too slow to charge a fly, and his throw is so weak it always goes to the cut-off. Another good choice would be slow Kevin (my clean-up batter, since batting 4th gets him 6 more power points).
If you could permanently level up any one player to level 14, who would it be?
I had a new Clash glitch (clitch?). I know we discussed the other day some of the glitches that have popped up, like the first baseman just holding the ball on a pick-off. Today was a new one for me: top of the 10th, bases loaded, no outs. Routine ground ball to my 2nd baseman Tom. Tom throws home, without a question beating the runner in what should have been a force-out at the plate. However, the game called the runner safe and chalked up a run. Here's the weird part - the runner at third disappeared and the scoreboard said one out. At no time was 3rd base involved in the play, nor was the runner from second. The entire play was pitch to batter, grounder to second, throw to home for the force. Anyone else experience this or similar?
I'm saving up shards and slowly - very slowly - heading toward 50k. Who would you choose to upgrade among my three Level 13s? My three are my 3rd baseman Alexandra, my RF Phoenix, and my pitcher Michelle. I'm leaning toward Alexandra because she still bobbles some lasers to 3rd and this would perk up her fielding a bit. However, my great contact/running/fielding Phoenix lacks one thing: power. This would up her power to 169 from 162. Michelle would get the most help from improving her velocity. Your opinion?
