Optiplex 7060

Looking at an mt optiplex 7060 at my local uni's surplus with the following specs for 200$:

  • i7-8700
  • 32gb ddr4 ram (8*4)
  • 1tb hdd
  • 260 w

Not sure if 200 is a fair deal. Anyways, if I do get this pc, id grab a case fan, thermal paste, an ssd (not quite sure if the 7060 supports nvme or I must use sata) and a GPU.

And I need some help with the GPU. From my own research, I've got like paths:

  • 3050 6gb either with crappy airflow or low performance in the 4x slot. I've seen some people use an extender cable from the 16x and move the GPU up a slot in the case. Not sure if this is actually plausible.
  • Yeston 3050 but with the caveat of thermal issues
  • 1650

I'm most interested in getting the 3050 just for performance sake but don't want to sacrifice performance or airflow, I'm not sure if a 1650 is as big as a 3050 and will come with the same issues, and if the yeston is really all that bad as i think it will be.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated on if this pc is worth it or I should pursue one of the unis sff's with slightly better specs, and what GPU I should go with if I get the 7060.
