Working on a military base means you see some funky shit sometimes. This one caught me off guard though.

Seems odd to quote BM as if the novel is making a supportive case for war and violence, unless I’ve missed the point of BM over my half dozen readings of it. I’ve never read this as very complementary to war or violent tendencies but I think the signmaker here thinks it makes war and warfighting sound bad ass.

My guess is someone here googled “cool war quotes” and put it on a sign without knowing the context. I surely hope they didn’t read BM and had the takeaway of “war is cool!”

My pup got severely ill and was on Death’s door last month, so I’ve decided life’s too short to travel without him. Here he is this weekend at Cannon Beach. Days like this make feel so fortunate to call the PNW home.
