I am from Spain but, quite interestingly, speak with a phoney Northern English accent. No bullshit. I have never been to England but have spoken to English people through the Internet and a handful here in Spain.

I am a massive music fan and musician, and my first two loves in music were the Beatles and Oasis. They taught me how to play the guitar, write music and how to speak English. Obviously, I'd watch a lot of their interviews and imitate their singing. This shaped my notion of the English language in a massive way.

I speak with this accent in my normal speech. I have not known other way to speak English. So it's fake yet genuine accent - I'm not putting it on.
