NC Outdoor Grow - RQS / Hoku

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share my outdoor grow here in NC, zone 7b. Legal grow operation.

We are 14 weeks in on this grow. Plants are spaced 8’ apart inside a row and rows 6.5’ apart.

This year I’m growing RQS Mexican Rush, Royal Medic, and Euphoria as well as Hoku OG Fyre, American Dreams, and OZ Kush. The American Dreams has 2/3 flowered pretty early on.

We are currently at 37 plants total.

Amendments - Gaia Green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4, gypsum, mycorrhizae, Earthworm castings and homemade compost.

IPM - Lost Coast Plant Therapy as needed and BT for caterpillars. Mostly existing pretty symbiotic with leaf hoppers, lady bugs, spiders, etc.

Defoliating the interior of the plants regularly for humidity control. Mold and late season rain is a killer in my area for outdoor grows.

Challenges - trellising and controlling the overall height of the sativa dominant plants for sure, and setting up for a quality dry and cure.

Appreciate any feedback on supporting tall plants, defoliation, and drying/curing larger crops.
