The Bad News And The Good News

The Bad News And The Good News

The bad news is that my wife cleared out my stash of AB this afternoon while we were driving home.

The good news is that she managed to buy 12 new badges. Only 14 more needed to reach 25%

New Spots

Several weeks ago a number of new spots were added in my local area and it was really nice being able to reach them on regular walks instead of having to go well out of my area to find spots.

Just got home from a week away and they have disappeared again, disappointed.

Would You Recommend This Upgrade Strategy?

I have been playing Atlas Earth for over a year, realising after a while that the amount of rent reduces after you reach certain plot thresholds, so currently I have 142 plots which get 10x rent boost (I'm in the UK - the plot thresholds & bonuses are different to the USA).

I get a 20% bonus from my passport badges and need another 28 to reach 25%, which is my primary goal. I'm travelling overseas or to parts of the UK several times a year, so this shouldn't be too hard to achieve.

I am only buying 1 plot / month (to help complete the challenges and get my badge), which gives me 8 months before I have 150 plots and my rent boot drops from 10x to 5x, halving my income. All my

I so far haven't paid to play, but I was thinking that it might be worth paying for 1 month, as this gives me 90 Atlas Bucks / day instead of 1 (effectively I can buy a plot a day) plus other benefits and would help me to get to 300 plots (double what I have now) and therefore back to my current income.

I think the next threshold after which the rent drops to 3x is a long way off, so I could then devote my earnings to purchasing new plots and hopefully becoming Mayor of a village somewhere, boosting my earnings further.

I'm not sure what the monthly cost is if you pay to go premium and if indeed if this would be worth the money or effort. I'm currently earning about £8 a month which is peanuts, but putting myself in the position where I'm not constrained by the 150 plots any more, it might be worth it.

What do you think? Any ideas (other than just giving up the game of course)? I could always just stay static and make sure I keep the 10x active for 20-21 hours a day as now.
