Why are US carriers still in love with rear-mounted engine aircraft?

It seems like the entire world has moved on from rear-engine aircraft except America. Why are US regional carriers still fond enough of them to keep them in service, and why weren’t they switched for Embraer regionals or something else decades ago?

Edit: I should’ve phrased my question differently. Why don’t airlines outside of the US use rear-mounted engine aircraft for their regional ops?

Why are photos like this still being accepted?

Curious why photos like this that have terrible angles and parts of the aircraft cut off are still being let through. I’ve seen several that have been uploaded recently with the same problem
