KKAAAEEHHH so long story short, I was in my Brit Lit class and there was this guy that sat one chair away from me, with the essence of being all alone in the world 🥺🥺 as the class was filling up, another guy came to sit in the empty chair that he now occupied between me and the original guy.
Now, the reader of this story is probably thinking that I wanted to make friends or some $hit like that, but that’s definitely not the case. With my father being the Devil’s spawn who probably mated with an old hag, I definitely came out to be a bit antisocial, and I’m okay with that. I didn’t care to get to know anyone as I sat there dwelling in my own thoughts because that’s what I do on a daily basis 😂😂
HOWEVER! What gave me hope for the long lost world was seeing Guy 1 take initiative to meet Guy 2! 😍😍🥹🥹🫶🏼🫶🏼 He just casually said “hey, my name’s (forgot his name).” And he put out his hand to shake the other guy’s hand. Guy 2 returned the gesture and they started to make conversation. OMMGGG HOW HEARTWARMING 🥹🥹🫶🏼🫶🏼
After seeing so many posts about people not being able to make friends, it made me joyful to see people make friends right in front of me. I get that people can seem shy, or even embarrassed to talk to others, or not even know how to continue a conversation, BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PEOPLE!! Basically what the title says / asks. I teach using whiteboards and I noticed over the years, expo marks have diminished in quality. Using these markers could go one of two ways:
If human history were to be written in one of these markers during an apocalypse, the zombie-virus-infected winds would blow the entire human race’s origins away because it would be strong enough to blow off the stains which the markers were supposed to leave behind. I could stare at the damn letters I wrote on the board and the words would suddenly vanish. The expo markers erase so quickly that a student can sneeze at the back of the 120-yard-football-sized stadium of a lecture hall and suddenly my work on the whiteboard gets erased.
The expo whiteboard markers act like permanent markers. I tried wiping away the green marker I used and instead I wiped away my sorrows. I got so angry because the damn thing wasn’t coming off. I wet paper towel and tried erasing it and IT STILL DID NOT COME OFF! The marker left streaks on the board and I should have wet the paper towels with my tears so the gods could hear my cry for a better expo marker. It took me so long to erase what was on the board that I should have just given the students a 45 minute break. Never mind, I should have actually dismissed them from class entirely as their professor sits in the lonely lecture hall and wiping the stupid marker stains away. I was about to magically turn into a history professor considering I was there for so long wiping this shit away, I could have told the incoming students about the year I starting wiping these marker stains away for the last 670 years. I’m sure I would have qualified to be a part of the History Department. But I’m not so I literally felt myself aging as I was trying to wipe away these damn marker stains. My wrinkles were settling in. I fuckin felt my wrinkles settling in as I was at the whiteboard eternally erasing green marks that were left behind by this shit expo marker. I guess it would do well in my case scenario for the zombie apocalypse I mentioned earlier, but I’m not here to write down human history on a whiteboard. Nor am I there to erase these green marker stains for eternity and act as if I’m immortal who has the time to sit there erasing these damn stains for centuries.
So in light of my struggle with these expo markers, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE SAVE ME AND RECOMMEND ME EXCELLENT NON-STRESSFUL-INDUCING MARKERS FOR WHITEBOARDS PLEASE?!?!? 🫶🏼😂🇨🇦 I would greatly appreciate it! And thanks for reading! 🥹😍😘
