Is a good idea to sit in the golden throne/becoming a new god?
Is it a good idea? I mean, you gain cool powers, like a kind of "immortality."
And at least for me, it seems to have more advantages than disadvantages...

Is it a good idea? I mean, you gain cool powers, like a kind of "immortality."
And at least for me, it seems to have more advantages than disadvantages...
What exactly happens to someone when they ascend the throne of Ma'habre?
Are you still yourself after ascending? Or does the person you were die at that moment, with something else being born in their place?
And if you become something else, is there actually a break in consciousness? Or, from your own perspective, does the feeling of continuity remain completely intact?
For example: you ascend, open your eyes, and simply continue thinking “I am still me.” You remember everything. You feel like the same person... but objectively, perhaps the person you were actually died.
Which leads to another question:
What happens when that entity is forgotten or defeated?
Does it simply cease to exist?
Or does it remain conscious somewhere in Ma'habre?
Are you trapped in the Hall of New Gods forever, fully aware that no one remembers you anymore?
And this also makes me think about the Tormented One.
If he can be summoned in Termina through the Sigil of the New Gods, even after being defeated in the first game, doesn't that mean you're not actually trapped in the Hall of New Gods after all?
If he was truly defeated and can still be summoned afterward, then what exactly continues to exist after his defeat?
Is it the Tormented One himself?
Is it merely an echo of him?
Or does being defeated in Ma'habre not necessarily mean that your existence has come to an end?
