The T-25 Semi-Automatic Rifle

The T-25 Semi-Automatic Rifle

“Chaos and shockwaves spread from Polkag all across the world…”

“Alliances are put to the test, threats exchanged, and armies are put on hold…”

“In the north, the Grand Duke of Chifk is trying to calm the situation with his equal. The Monarch of Arin…”

“But it is all in vain. The situation is out of control.”

“War is unavoidable…”

The T-25 rifle was Chifk’s next step in standard infantry arms development. Designed in 1920, the T-25 was designed to give soldiers more firepower than a bolt-action could ever give, while also attempting to create a “machine rifle”. As many of its designers quoted.

The T-25 was not requested by the Fascist Party of Chifk. Matter of fact, the Lowern Company had made it in an attempt to sell it to a foreign nation. A cheap, bulky, semi-automatic rifle. Most nations at the time were still using bolt-actions, and were desperately trying to modernize. Chifk, could not allow their enemies, and even allies, to progress. It was inconceivable that anyone could be better than Chifk, and so, Chifk adopted the rifle.

During its short, limited testing, it was found that the rifle did poorly in muddy conditions, its heavy trigger pull was not received well, its wood would warp after repeated fire, its bulkiness made it awkward to operate in tight positions, and the 7.92mm Muller round was said to cause the rifle to kick harder than its original prototypes suggested. But, its sights were well received. 1/5 score. Almost immediately, the Lowern Company had to outsource its production of T-25 rifles to other companies. Inland or abroad.

This caused a huge varying amounts of quality. With the rifles produced by the Lowern Company being some of the highest in quality, to those made by the lowest companies typically being some of the worst weapons the military would ever have in its arsenal. Some ranged from the original 5.5 pound trigger, to a 35 pound trigger. The springs made by cheaper companies were inconsistent. To the heavy sturdy springs, to the light and snappy springs that would break after a single shot. Different companies would rifle the barrel improperly. By either using the incorrect tools, or just free-handing it. The production of the T-25 was a mess.

In 1927, the Great War began. The president of Grimla was shot and killed by assailants in Polkag, aiming to keep the Third alliance from ever uniting with the Second alliance. Chifk, in an attempt to prevent war, contacted the leader of the Great Powers alliance. Arin. Chifk and Arin in the past were once united, under the banner of an Empire. However, when the monarchy fell this allowed the two nations to break from the rule. The Nation that had harbored the monarchy, Chifk. And the nation that had gained freedom. Arin. Chifk was a mashup of different cultures and traditions. However they mostly spoke Arinish (Spanish). Arin, had no cultures, stripped from them by colonial rule. They, only spoke Arinish. Their native tongue destroyed. The two began to bargain with eachother during the meeting, everything seemed to be going good. The Grand Duke of Chifk and the Monarch of Arin seemed to be… getting along…

However, near the end of the meeting, Arin had asked that Kislan not be touched by Chifk. Around the same time, Kislanian legionaries crossed into Chifk. The Grand Duke shot out an expletive at the Monarch of Arin, letting him know that if Kislanian soldiers continued their advance into Chifk, it would mean war. The Monarch stood firm, looking down at the Grand Duke as he backed away from the meeting table, his advisers handing the Grand Duke a declaration of war against Chifk.

Millions of Chifkan men and Women signed up in droves, looking to defend their nation against the traitorous Kislanian and Arinish armies who would seek to destroy their homeland, and to enjoy the adventure that would occur, as this was the first war to happen in over 100 years. However, supplying the T-25 to these new soldiers was difficult. Despite the fact that factories all across Chifk were working around the clock to get the T-25 rifles into the hands of soldiers, they were only able to produce so many. Although a majority of Chifkan forces had been trained and deployed with the T-25, Chifk was now having to rely on older equipment to substitute for the new rifle. Older T-79 needle rifles and the T-87 Rolling Block rifle.

While the Kislanian legions were being held back, Chifk had to engage a brutal naval war against Arin. With soldiers fighting over small islands in the middle of the ocean. One such battle was the battle for ‘Kahi hanau o Kristo’. A vital island with an airfield that would decide the future of the Naval War between Chifk and Arin. The island itself wasn’t that big, however its airfield allowed 1st generation and 1/2 generation bombers to take off and strike anything in a decent radius. Aswell as fighters and cargo/paratrooper planes. It was vital that Chifk take the island before Arin, Holin, and Polskg aircraft could reach the island via transport ships. It was defended by a force of 10,500 soldiers, 9000 Arin, 500 Holin, and 1000 Polskg soldiers. The island was littered with forts, machine gun outposts, and artillery batteries repurposed for anti ship use. 11,534 Chifkan soldiers were to participate in the landings. The battle plan was simple, Chifkan soldiers were to quickly move into the island and take the airfield, next, they would fortify positions and wait until reinforcements arrived with tanks, and then the advancement would continue with naval support. It was foolproof, and the soldiers to be sent in were all equipped with the T-25.

On 9/30/36, the landings began. The landing craft sped towards the beach, some of them converted merchant ships to actual landing craft. This mix in quality caused a lot of the landing crafts to be sunk by heavy machine gun fire from the beach defenses. Those who survived and managed to land on the beach itself found it to be a relative cakewalk. The heavy MG’s were unable to aim as far down as they needed to, and with the rest of the beach defenders rushing back to base to get more support and reinforcements, the lone MG crews with little in terms of arms, were forced to defend as best as they could. Some ripped their MG’s off the tripods and had it positioned to where it could be aimed at the invading Chifkan forces, while others ditched their MG’s for their lackluster equipment. Despite the fact that the standard issue rifle of the Arin, Holin, and Polskg army was the T-9, the Island had recently lost a majority of those rifles in a storm, and were forced to rely on older, much more outdated rifles. Such as T-7 Gate Rifles, and even older Hentony Muskets that were left over on the island by its previous inhabitants of pirates during the late era of the 1600’s.

The beach defenders fought desperately, however, their firepower was unmatched compared to the T-25. The sheer volume of fire that the T-25 could dish out compared to the outdated arms of the defenders was staggering, and the cartridge it used made short work of most people on the other end. It was reported that during the initial push onto the beach, that a lone Chifkan soldier took aim with his Lowern T-25 rifle and let off a singular round, managing to hit the mortar-man who was aiming the mortar, causing his body to jerk pulling the mortar with him as he fell, just as a round was lobbed into the tube. The round shot straight up, and destroyed the mortar position, causing a chain reaction of shells going off, destroying the road next to them. With this short victory, the Chifkan invaders hoisted up their flag to signal to the ships that the initial landings were a success and that more reinforcements could come. However, just as the flag was raised, the reinforcements from the defenders base had arrived. Armored cars sped down the road as fast as they could, with transport trucks well behind them. The Chifkan soldiers prepared themselves as the convoy sped towards them, its Armored cars turrets aiming towards them. And then, it happened. As the transport trucks stopped, the Armored Cars opened fire to give cover to their advancing men. The Chifkan soldiers fought desperately to hold the position, if they could hold out long enough for the reinforcements to land, they would be able to force the defenders to retreat for the night. Although the defenders had more men, the Chifkan soldiers were able to dish out more firepower, even with the armored cars providing fire support. At 7:54 PM, the Chifkan reinforcements arrived and forced a retreat, even managing to destroy the armored cars via makeshift fire bombs. allowing the Chifkans to meet up, re-organize and entrench in their positions. However, it also gave the defenders time to do the same.

10/2/36, two days after the initial landings, Chifk had made barely any progress. Failing to take the Airfield, even with superior numbers. The intelligence they had received was wrong, the airfield was not where it was supposed to be, matter of fact, it was on the other side of the island. Chifk could not afford another landing, especially with the war with the Kislan back home. Orders were given out via Morse code.[ - .- -.- . / - .... . / .- .. .-. ..-. .. . .-.. -.. / .- -. -.-- / -- . .- -. ... / -. . -.-. . ... ... .- .-. -.-- / .-. . - .-. . .- - / .. ... / -. --- - / .- -. / --- .--. - .. --- -. / --. .-.. --- .-. -.-- / - --- / -.-. .... .. ..-. -.-] ^TAKE THE AIRFIELD-ANY MEANS NECESSARY-RETREAT IS NOT AN OPTION-GLORY TO CHIFK^

It was a dire situation. Especially with the fact that the ANV-5 ‘INVICTUS’ had been sighted in the area, which caused all transport ships to cease resource shipments to the Chifkan forces on the island. However, orders were orders. Using what they had in limited resources and vehicles, the Chifkan forces were able to make one armored car, and one armored truck, being able to accomplish this by scrapping the destroyed armored cars and other broken pieces of metal laying around, aswell as using captured heavy machine guns for the armored car. 10/5/36, the Chifkan invaders began their second push into the island, using the armored car and truck to make staggering progress. Even managing to capture two Arinian light artillery pieces. Which gave the Chifkans an idea.

However, as the advanced continued forward, the many problems of the T-25 began to show. The heat and humidity of the island caused the wood to warp, and even crack. The heavy mud and sand would cause the weapon to jam catastrophically, either causing the bolt to snap, or getting stuck in the inaccessible areas of the weapon, where even disassembling it couldn’t reach. Even with these issues, Chifkan forces advanced further and further, until hitting a wall. The defenders had brought out tanks, specifically 1st generation. And even managed to get air support with bi-planes. Even if they were outdated at the time, they still were vital to the war. Especially when the opponent had no aircraft at all. This forced the advance to halt, allowing the battered defenders to re-group. Again.

Over four grueling months, the battle for the island raged on, both sides knew eventually one would have to give in. Neither wanted to do so. Both sides received word from their commanders to fight on till the last bullet, as re-supply was never going to happen. 2/15/38, both sides prepared their forces for the battle, that would bring their end. Over the four months, the Chifkan invaders had been given enough time to up-armor the armored car, giving it thicker armor, and replacing its machine guns with light artillery, to create a makeshift tank to deal with the defenders tanks, and converting the machine guns to anti-air use. However, on the other side of the island, the defending forces had been turning their artillery pieces into anti-tank pieces, to deal with the Chifkan Armored cars. A Chifkan soldier on the island by the name of Uria Martinez was objecting to the upcoming attack, instead wanting to have her fellow soldiers wait in their fox holes and defensives for the defenders to attack, so that way they take less losses. Her request was ignored by 2nd Chifkan Foreign army officer Naoya Ayanami, stating that her opinion was inferior to his based off of her gender, rank, and appearance. Instead, he had his forces fix bayonets, as their ammo was low due to zero resupply, and prepare for the final assault. On the defender’s side, their forces began to kit up. Fixing bayonets, reinforcing their helmets with scrap metal, strapping grenades to their chests as a final send off. Specifically, only the Polskgan forces did that last part. They viewed death in battle as the proper way of dying in a war. Surrender was unacceptable. However, they too were also low on ammunition.

The attack began on the same day around 6:00 PM. Just as the sun began to set. 1,300 Chifkans rushed out of their trenches to attack the defenders. The remains of the Arinian coalition of 1,287 charged out of their trenches to attack the invading forces. They met eachother on the middle of what was once a lush jungle, turned into a grey wasteland. The tanks rushed towards eachother, firing off shot after shot at eachother. The makeshift tank destroying the Holinian 1st generation tank, however shortly after being blown up by the makeshift anti-tank cannons. The Polskgan warriors were next, rushing into the lines of Chifkan infantry men and taking out as many as they could before being mowed down, their final acts of defiance was activating their chest explosives. The air assets were slowly shot down by the Anti-air machine guns, their pilots jumping out on fire, or when they were parachuting down, being shot by Chifkan marksman. However, the AA guns were destroyed by The Anti-Tank guns. A misfire occurred during the firing of an Anti-Tank gun, causing both cannons to explode. The rest of the Infantry engaged in brutal melee combat, and when their bayonets broke, they used their makeshift knives. And when their blades dulled, they used their hands. Those who still had ammunition were surrounded. Mauled.

At 6:21 PM, the battle was near its end. Out of the 2,587 participants in the battle. Only three ended up at the end of it. 1 Arinian. And 2 Chifkan. Maria Olivera, the Arinian. Uria and Naoya. The Chifkans. They stood on the beach where the initial landings had taken place. Maria and Uria stood there, watching eachother. Both of their Knives had broken, and both had a broken arm. Maria herself had been burnt by a Polskgan exploding next to her too early. Naoya came down to the beach and aimed his officers pistol at Maria, pulling the trigger but nothing came out. He too had run out of ammo. He tried to pull out his officers sword, but had forgotten that it had broken in the battle. He demanded that Uria help him kill the last Arinian, to fulfill her duty to take the island from the Arinian menace. To follow the orders handed to them. Maria begged the two to let her go, that the war for the island was over. There was nothing left to fight for. Naoya yelled at her to shut up, that she was worthless compared to him. Uria grew tired of his antics. He had gotten her comrades killed, he had ruthlessly ruined the mental state of the fellow women who had served her. He had caused all of this. And so, with whatever strength that she had, she gripped the foregrip of her rifle in her one unbroken hand, and began to beat on Naoya with it. And when the rifle broke, she grabbed a piece of steel stuck in her chest and began to stab into Naoya, her final act in her war. She stood up from the bloody mess on the sand and looked over to Maria, and walked over to her. Looking out into the sea, they saw a transport ship in the distance. A Chifkan transport ship. However, before long, a deafening roar came from the sea. The ANV-5 ‘INVICTUS’. It had let off its horn as it got close to the transport ship, it opened fire. Witnessing the scene, the two held hands and collapsed on the beach from their injuries. Uria herself had died from her wounds, the cut caused by the steel in her chest was unable to be stitched. Maria, lived. Adopting the Name of Ayanami, who she thought was Uria’s name after Arinian medics mixed up the identity cards between Naoya and Uria.

The two were picked up by an Arinian task force meant to investigate the silence on the island. They found Maria and Uria holding onto eachother on the beach. After they brought the two onto the ship and began to treat their wounds in any way they could, the task force buried the dead. Giving both Chifkan, and Coalition forces full military honors. Hoisting their flags on their respective grave yards.

After the war, Maria ‘Ayanami’ left her home country of Arin before its borders were permanently closed to a foreign country. Where she would spend the rest of her days in peace. However, only something that could be described as a miracle occurred. A Virgin birth. And thus, given her new home, and what she thought was Uria’s home. She gave her daughter a name from that land. Rei Ayanami. Who herself, would join the Armed forces. Specifically, the 5th Chifkan Foreign Legion.

(Hey guys, beanlord back again with another late post. New norm, no more churning out posts like a factory. Ignore the end of ya like. I don’t really care for it but, I felt like including it. Why? Callback to some of my older posts. I’ve done this before. Anyways, I did include a decent amount about the gun so. Hope you like it. Anyways, Peace giggity gang! Expect a new post sometime between here, and there!)

(P.s. also, I’d appreciate any feedback on the design. I plan on some more ‘Great War’ stuff. I’ve been meaning to do it. So now I’m doing it.)

“Time has worn the soldiers down, march for many miles.”

“In the southern lands so cursed, time to make a stand”

“The council scorched nations land, nothing to be found.”

“Hunger grasp the soldiers heart, 200,000 strong.”

LISTEN! Excuse for a King! Trust US this fight you Can’t Win!”-Holin Congress 1942

Designed in 1940, Arin sought a new armored vehicle that could do the job of an anti-tank gun, while also maintaining the movability of a tank. It was also vital that its gun was able to penetrate Chifkan tanks. As Arin, despite losing a majority of its navy in 1938, was going to conduct a naval invasion into Chifk. However, in late 1940, just as the design process had finished, the Great War had ended.

In 1941, Federate Leonidas had perished due to tuberculosis, leaving his young son, Javier. In charge of the nation of Arin. And immediately, Carolus took advantage of his newfound power. All those who opposed him were executed. He was no longer allowed to be addressed by his name, instead only to be addressed by, ‘The Grand Minister’. Those who spoke out against his rule were sent to camps. The people of the frontier were oppressed even harder. And the military sustained massive reforms. Anyone loyal to his father was relieved of duty. The resources that the Frontier was allowed to keep due to his father was quickly taken over. Arinian soldiers forced the Frontiersman to mine their own resources for Arin. And he even cut off diplomatic relations with Arin’s long standing ally. Holin.

What became of this unraveling was four cities that rested on the border would break away from both Arin and Holin, instead acting as lone city states. Holin would demand the transfer of the ANV-5 ‘INVICTUS’ over to them, as it was mostly made of Holin steel. This request was promptly denied. And thus, the Grand Minister revealed why he forced the frontier to become a mining ground. Remilitarization. Equipment was being churned out left and right. Millions in recruitment. However, one thing that Arin knew they needed was a vehicle designed to destroy Holin tanks. And so, the Grand Minister had his assistant look through the files that his father had left him of designs. And what came of it was one of the few designs from the Late Great-War Era that hadn’t been burnt by the Grand Minister. The ‘DUKE’ was what was written on its design papers. The Grand Minister immediately had his tank factories start production of the ‘DUKE’ in early 1942.

The first few ‘DUKE’ Tank Destroyers reached the Arinian stockpile on 3/18/42, and almost immediately they saw combat. 3/25/42, Arinian forces, due to a miscommunication, enter the free city of Suenos Reñacidos as part of a crackdown on gangs in the area. That was not what the order was. Instead, they were supposed to conduct live fire training near the city, practicing for a potential war with Holin. When the Arinian forces entered the city, they found that Holin forces were doing the same as a response to the sudden Arinian intrusion. The two sides stood in the middle of a road, with civilians standing on the side watching. And then, out of the blue, a singular gunshot could be heard.

All hell broke loose, with soldiers crossing borders, and bullets being fired with rage. On the first days of the war, Arin made stunning advancements into Holin, with millions of battle hardened soldiers dealing significant blows to the lesser experienced soldiers of Holin, who had focused entirely on their navy during the Great War. The M-1942 ‘DUKE’ proved itself remarkably well on the battlefield, being able to destroy the best Holin armor with just one shot. As its 155mm cannon was unmatched. Holin forces fell back miles, scorching the land as they retreated. Giving the Arinian occupiers nothing to feast on.

The ‘DUKE’ itself, despite being a tank-destroyer, was given the role of acting like a tank by the Grand Minister. A fatal mistake that would come to bite his forces in the later stages of the war. However, during the early stages of the war, it was perfectly capable of being the role it was given. It was undeniably the most powerful weapon on the battlefield at the time. It was feared by all who seen it.

However, on 5/15/42, two months after the start of the war, the Holin forces changed their tactics after Grand General Flores. Who had recently retired after serving in the Great War. 37 year old Flores would immediately start repositioning artillery pieces to areas where they could be more effective, have longer range, and effectively become impervious to Arinian artillery. Next, he immediately started to decommission tanks that had been brought back from the battlefield, specifically those that had been destroyed by either M-1942 ‘DUKE’s or Arinian soldiers who had crawled under the tanks and blew up the belly with dynamite or other explosives. taking off their cannons and creating makeshift anti-tank weapons. He deemed that mortars could be turned into anti-tank weaponry, and with every shipment of Mortars, half of them would go to his team. Who would convert mortar rounds to grenades, sticky bombs. And the tubes themselves would be turned into one giant explosive stick, meant for anti-barbed wire, or anti-bunker use. The average Holin squad was changed, with the introduction of machine guns, the squads focus became that of protecting the machine gun. Using their rifles to either kill those getting too close or too far from the MG, and to force enemies into the MG’s line of sight. He deemed that if Holin was to ever win this war, they would have to ditch the tactics of the ‘Great War’. Gone were the days of bayonet charges into enemy lines hoping to make a dent.

On 5/30/42, it was time to see if the idea of Flores could pass on the battlefield. As Arinian tanks streamed towards the Holin lines, they found that the trench that they thought would be there, was gone. All of a sudden, a yell. Hundreds of Holin men rushed towards the tanks as machine guns mowed down the Arinian soldiers behind them. The machine gun ports of the side of the M-1942 ‘DUKE’s became their weakness, as Holin soldiers beat the port until it broke, and then stuffing a ‘Mortar Stick’ into the hole. Destroying the tank. Arin lost over 32 tanks that day. What happened next was a massacre, as Holin forces, during the early war retreat, had used a tactic seen as dishonorable. Scorched Earth. Miles of land was destroyed, unable to be used. Unable to eat from. Arin soldiers had nothing to eat. Flores himself gave the order to retake the lines of land lost to Arin, with direct orders from the Congress to restore Holin to its borders by any means necessary. Millions of Holin soldiers crossed the barbed wire wall that had been set up, using ‘Mortar Sticks’ to create holes in Arinian defenses. And with the use of ‘M-Grenades’, tanks from Arin became a non-issue.

Arin experienced loss after loss. Defeat, after defeat. However, the Grand Minister was determined to make Holin land his. On 6/21/42, the Grand Minister came down to the frontline to take command of the Arinian Forces, letting his generals know that they were fools, and that he was way more powerful than they could ever perceive. The city of Suenos Reñacidos was chosen as the final defensive line. His idea was that if he could possibly win the battle for Suenos Reñacidos, he could possibly create an opening for a counter offensive that would win him the war. In 6/31/32, the attack began. Holin forces entered the city and immediately found themselves under fire. However, the Arinian forces, instead of changing their tactics. Continued to use entrenched positions. Giving the now, very experienced Holin forces, an upper hand against the now much more inexperienced Arinian recruits sent to defend the city. Holin forces Crawled towards the Arinian bunkers that were built on the streets. The bunkers were poorly designed, and could barely allow the user to aim their weapon down towards the ground. What happened was Holin forces would toss either bottles filled with flammable liquids into the bunkers, incinerating the bunker occupant, or tossing in the ‘Mortar Stick’, destroying the bunker permanently. This allowed Holin forces to advance even further into the city. The Grand Minister was enraged that his, ‘Superior Forces’ could fall so easily to the inferior Holin invaders. The Grand Minister walked out onto the street and immediately, was hit by an artillery bombardment. After the bombardment had ended, the Grand Minister was helped up by his butlers, who picked up half of his face as they retreated. With the Grand Minister having to leave command, the Arinian troop’s morale had plummeted to new lows, and surrendering en masse occurred.

Holin had won the 3 month war. From almost losing, to turning the tide. However, this, isn’t *really* about Holin. Instead, about the ‘DUKE’. None could deny its effectiveness on the battlefield. It revolutionized anti-tank weaponry world wide. Everyone took inspiration from the ‘DUKE’. Even, the isolationist nation, of Fusile…

(Hi guys, beanlord back again with another post. Sorry for the delay, writing these thingamabobbers is a doozy. Takes a good minute to refine all the details. And especially with the fact that this… somewhat… loses focus on the ‘DUKE’. I just a way to explain why Arin and Holin got into the war in 1958. Anyways, cheers chaps, I really appreciate the blokes who enjoy my work.)

“No, no, No!”

“To the wrong shore, came the Great War, Anita and Ingham leading them into death!”

The CNV-1 “ANITA” (Chifkan Naval Vessel) was the first of few Chifkan Dreadnoughts. Its design stretched from 1920 to 1926. And its production was finished in early 1927. On the eve of the ‘Great War’. It was cast into the 1st Naval Attack Fleet, led by one of be best Great Admiral prodigies, Anita Gonzalez, who was trained from birth by her father, Head Admiral Sir Enrique Mondragon. Undoubtedly the best Captain out of any nation in the world.

Anita took it upon herself to become the greatest Admiral the world would Ever see. Greater than her father. On 1/3/28, she and her fleet was given their first mission. To intercept an Arinian fleet moving across the North Sea to intercept Chifkan shipping vessels. As the fleet headed out, it was recorded that Anita, was reportedly, praying. On 1/15/28, her and her fleet found the Arinian fleet, or rather just ship, decimating Chifkan shipping vessels. The ANV-1 ‘MAXIMUS’ Dreadnought. The first out of 15 Arinian Dreadnoughts, and a joint project between Arin and Holin. Anita ordered her two escorts to open fire on the Dreadnought, having been caught off guard and forced to quickly rearm her ships guns. The ‘MAXIMUS’ immediately opened fire, but due to a miscommunication between the crew of Arinish (Spanish) and Semi-Whalish Holin(Brazilian Portuguese) speakers, the mainly Holin gunners of the cannons chose to target the escort ships. The CNV-11 ‘HEROLD’ was hit in the ammo rack, causing the escort to split into two, the last sight from the ship was Herold himself standing on the ships roof(?), shooting his pistol at the ANV-1, yelling out obscenities as he did so. The sacrifice of the HEROLD allowed the gunners of the ‘ANITA’ to target the ‘MAXIMUS’, firing off her cannons and taking out the first two turrets of the ‘MAXIMUS’, causing fires on the deck due to rounds cooking off. Anita herself came down from her command center and ordered the cannons of her ship to target the ammo storage of the MAXIMUS, forcing them to fire even as her advisors told her it was a stupid idea, and that retreat would be a better option as to keep the last escort ship alive, and to link up with another fleet. However, thanks to Anita’s orders the cannons of her ship were able to cause the ammo storage of the MAXIMUS to erupt in a fireball, essentially disintegrating the ship. The first naval victory for Chifk, and many more were to come.

With her ship giving Chifk the first naval victory of the war, Anita was given the Golden Seagull, the highest honor that a naval captain can ever receive. On 1/30/28, she and her ship set out to the seas again, aiming to secure more victories for Chifk, and to perhaps secure more funding towards the Chifkan Navy, which had its funding cut in 1926 to allocate more funds to the Army and Air-force. On 2/11/28, her and her escorts linked up with the main fleet of Chifk to allow Chifkan naval troops to land on a small island in the middle of the sea, where it would be vital in theory defending against an Arinian naval attack. On 2/19/28 the attack began, waves of naval infantry descended onto the island as ships opened fire on the island, with the ‘ANITA’ as the only Dreadnought in the fleet was ordering the other ships on where to shoot, where to go, and on what should be targeted. As the landing craft touched down, a miscommunication and mass confusion in the CNV-9 ‘SANDRA’ led to the crew believing that the Arinian defenders had managed to successfully defend the island and were rounding up prisoners on the beach. Despite several flares from the beach signaling that the attack was a success, the ‘SANDRA’ opened fire on the beach, causing mass casualties for Chifk. During the bombardment this allowed the Arinian Defenders to reorganize, giving them a chance to attack the Chifkan invaders. The counterattack led to the Chifkan forces being forced off of the island. A major defeat. Anita herself was blamed for the failure, and the miscommunication. Despite the proof, the fleet still expelled her from the formation. Forcing her and her two, now almost out of ammunition escorts to try and make it back to the docks of Chifk. On 2/27/28, the ‘ANITA’ encountered the ANV-4 ‘INEXPUGNABILIS’, The flag ship of the Arinian navy. And with it was the only Arinian Aircraft carrier, loaded up with fighters, and landing barges, four of them. They were only miles from the Chifkan port that the ‘ANITA’ was heading towards. Anita had a choice, either to avoid a confrontation with the fleet and to possibly cause a second front, which would spread the already spread out army even further. Or to risk everything just to destroy the fleet, and to perhaps save the war.

2/27/28. 9:15 AM. Anita gives her crew the orders to open fire on the fleet. Two of the troop barges are sunk. 9:19 AM. The ‘INEXPUGNABILIS’ returns fire, missing the ‘ANITA’. 9:22 AM. The ‘ANITA’ fires again, striking the aircraft carrier before it could launch aircraft, damaging it severely. 9:22 AM. The ‘INEXPUGNABILIS’ opens fire on one of the escort ships, hitting the command deck and putting the ship out of control. The crew jump over board. Many freeze to death. The ‘INEXPUGNABILIS’ opens fire on the ‘ANITA’ hitting it in its hull. The crew are quick to react to fix the situation. 9:29 AM. The ‘ANITA’ returns fire, hitting the ‘INEXPUGNABILIS’ first two turrets. Forcing one out of commission while the other begins to spark up. 9:32, the ‘INEXPUGNABILIS’ launches 4 torpedos. 2 Miss the ‘ANITA’, the other 2 are duds. 9:33 AM. The ‘INEXPUGNABILIS’ experiences engine failure. 9:34 AM. The ‘ANITA’ opens fire. Four shells hit the hull. Massive water damage. 9:36 AM. The ‘INEXPUGNABILIS’ fails to restart engine. The crew of the ‘INEXPUGNABILIS’ scuttle the ship due to un-repairable damages. Leaving the remaining two barges alone without escort. 9:50 AM. The last two remaining barges are destroyed. The ‘ANITA’ continues on her journey back to the shore. In less than favorable condition.

After returning to shore, Anita was relieved of duty from her ship. Put on leave until further notice, or until her ship was fully repaired. Anita went on with her life. Though utterly miserable and depressed. The injuries sustained from constant combat toyed with her mental wellbeing. “I do not believe that the people back home know what this war is truly like. It is not with the cheers and ‘hurrahs’ I’m sure they are told it has. It’s very grim. And serious.”

On 7/20/35, Anita, at 43 years old sat by her work desk. Pistol in one hand, and a glass of liquor in the other. Wasn’t real liquor however, just the cheap fabricated stuff to make it seem like the real thing. All the real liquor had been lost due to the war. She wrote one final letter and had her servant take it to the mailman, before she lifted the service pistol to her head. However, a knock suddenly appeared at her door. Two representatives from the navy were standing in the doorway, with a paper for immediate reinstatement into the navy, with her ship waiting at the dock for her. Anita heavily considered the opportunity.

On 7/23/35, Anita and her crew set sail once more, in the mission that would be their last. Orders from the navy ordered that all ships of the Chifkan fleet were to meet up in the north, to deal a decisive blow against the Arinian Navy. 7/31/35. The ‘ANITA’ links up with the grand fleet. All of Chifk’s naval vessels, officers, and even admirals Are there. Anita establishes communications with Admiral Ingham, the two take charge over the fleet and begin the journey to attack the Arinian navy. 8/15/35, the grand fleet receives information on where the Arinian navy would be after using the captured Arinian aircraft carrier to launch scout planes. The fleet immediately changes its course to intercept the Arinian fleet. The destination being a small atoll in the middle of the ocean where a small Polskg defense force was emplaced to keep the island from falling in Chifkan Hands. It was a vital position as it could be used to stage an invasion into Arin, Holin, and Polskg. Chifk did not care for the island. What they needed was a total destruction of the Arinian naval fleet to prevent a naval invasion.

1:30 AM. 8/30/35. The grand fleet surprises the Arinian navy, utilizing scout planes repurposed as torpedo bombers to strike the ships. The Arinian fleet goes into disarray, their plan falling apart. Next, Anita, defying orders from Ingham orders the destroyers and escorts to do quick strikes on Arinian vessels. This attack was a success, managing to do critical damage on five Arinian heavy destroyers, and two light cruisers. Effectively putting them out of the battle. 1:40 AM, the main fleet finally makes contact with the enemy fleet, the ‘ANITA’ opens fire with her main cannons on the ANV-5 ‘INVICTUS’. The barrage misses. The ‘INVICTUS’ fires back. The barrage misses. The CNV-9 ‘INGHAM’ opens fire on the ANV-3 ‘MORS’. The barrage misses. The ANV-3 waits for the flash from the ‘INGHAM’s guns to open fire. A direct hit to the ‘INGHAM’s hull. At 3:25 AM, communications with the ‘ANITA’ is restored. The ‘INVICTUS’ has retreated after sustaining heavy damage. The ‘INGHAM’ was sunk by the ANV-3 ‘MORS’. Ten CNV destroyers were lost. Four light CNV battleships were lost. The ‘MORS’ was sunk by the ‘ANITA’. The ‘ANITA’ sustains heavy damage. The aircraft carrier is destroyed after its torpedo storage was hit by a stray shell.

153 Chifkan ships were present in the battle.

169 Arinian ships were present in the battle.

10 Chifkan Ships survived.

3 Arinian Ships Survived.

The ‘ANITA’ survives.

As the ‘ANITA’ returned to shore, a majority of the crew had to be taken off by medical personnel. Most notably, Anita herself. A piece of shrapnel had been blown into her forehead. Although she made a recovery, her ship could not receive the same treatment. The damage was too severe. Too costly. As a result, she was scrapped, her materials used to produce more ships. Anita watched the ship she had essentially been raised in be torn apart. Ripped to pieces. And in that moment, a piece of her finally gave up.

After the battle, Anita is gifted the title of Great Admiral. A title she no longer wanted. She spent the rest of her days in a foreign nation. Drinking herself near blind. On 1/1/43, 12:04 AM. she took her own life. On New Year’s Day. She just wanted to see the fireworks one last time. She had left no heir to her throne of one of the greats in sea warfare. There was no need to put that kind of pressure onto someone.

(Hi guys, beanlord back again with another post. Hope you guys and gals like it, took me a little bit but, I’m not late again!)

(Also, P.S. any suggestions is greatly recommended. I’m not too great on amphibious vehicles. Not my ‘forte’. So, y’know. Say something. It is based off of the Bismarck and Yamato.)

“Pulled into war, to serve a vision that supposed to last 1000 years…”

“Part of a machine, unstoppable as merciless as tidal waves…”

“Were they the victims of the time? Or proud parts of larger goals? Propaganda of the Order, masterful machine…”

In 1926, a legendary arms designer who was renowned world wide for his contributions to the development of small arms took up the task of developing a new pistol for a nation whose name and history has long been forgotten. Using an interesting design choice for the pistol, borrowed from toggle lock rifles of the time, he came up with the first drawings of the pistol in early 1927…

In 1927 however, the ‘Great War’ began. The war tore nations apart, destroyed history, destroyed humanity. This arms designer was called into service of his homeland when all civilians were told to arm themselves. Not long after. He was killed by firing squad, the perpetrators being of Grimlan ranks. His work was found and burnt. The history of his nation destroyed by Grimla. His name. Forgotten…

In 1960, an excavation of areas ravaged by the Great War in southern Lystengrad led by the General of the 5th Chifkan Foreign Legion, G. Ikari. Found a mass grave. Bodies upon bodies were stacked upon eachother, their clothes still holding the skeletons together. Upon the bodies was one that stood out from the rest. A burnt book in his hands. Even though he laid dead, he gripped onto it with an unbridled rage. Only when it was pried open with a knife was when the book was recovered and handed to G. Ikari, who upon examination, found that a majority of the pages were burnt, or destroyed. The only one partially intact was inscribed with the design of a pistol never before seen, and on the back of it was a small inscription with markings that seemed all too familiar to the General, but no one else understood them. G. Ikari took the page and had the book burnt, while also destroying everything else that was in the excavation site.

In 1962, when the New World Order was established, G. Ikari took charge of the ground forces, while also controlling the production industry, combining the industrial mights of all of the nations into one, centralized production line. Using this new system, he immediately gave the name of NWOI, or New World Order Industries. He gave the Sector 02 Branch a mission to conduct. The production of the pistol found from the Excavation site as a gift to veterans of the upcoming war, a reward for their service and sacrifice to the NWO. It was first handed out to officers, who though loyal to their homeland, switched ideological positions as soon as the NWO was founded. The NWO was ran by a veteran (to the public eye) of the Great War. And a majority of officers in the world were veterans of the Great War. They saw their nations as weak, and that the NWO would be able to bring the honor of combat back into the people’s hearts. This, coupled with the fact that the NWO was offering high ranking positions and living standards than what they had been used to, it was very easy to see why they would betray their own nations for a lousy pistol.

And Then, it was handed to the politicians. Especially those who had already been working for the ‘Benefactors’ even before the NWO’s formation. Their loyalty to the hidden shadow elites was rewarded tenfold. And finally, the soldiers. Those returning from the frontline of Whalin or Crolin were handed these pistols as a token of their sacrifice. However, they were required to sign a paper that the Politicians didn’t have to sign when they got theirs. The paper stated that they could be called back into service whenever the NWO saw fit. However, barely any of the soldiers who came back ever read the paper. All they did was just sign away.

However. Those who did use it in the field. Specifically the Officers in the rear, used it in a terrible sense. Head Officer Johnathon Kinn of the NWO 9th Infantry Battalion used the pistol to personally execute over 60,000 prisoners of war in what is known as the, ‘Great Massacre of Kinnan’. His own hometown of Kinnan was turned into a prison for the captured soldiers. And that is where he personally inflicted pain and suffering on those beneath him. The Whalish got it the worst, as they had been able to prevent the NWO advance into Whalin for a month. And due to their… cultural differences… it was hate filled.

How did the pistol perform? Rather lackluster. NWOI had strayed far from the original design, adding their own features, and un-needed nicknacks. The toggle-lock action was prone to jamming very easily, especially if it was un-cared for. Its sights were terrible. Holding the pistol felt weird, as its grip curved at an angle that in all practical senses could have just been avoided, and its burst feature was impractical in the most lightest of terms. For the Officers, it was a novelty piece. Not even fit for the role of serving a man in battle. For the politician, it was a useless paper weight, that only signified their loyalty. And to the veterans, it was just another gun. Atleast they saw it in a more positive light as a new way to have fun by taking it out to go shoot.

No matter how terrible the pistol was. In both its practical sense, and its use. It was still looked upon fondly by many. Though a revision of an old relic. It was still a piece of history. Matter of fact. The last of an entire cultures history. Many saw it in a good light, as an attempt to bring back a forgotten people. A forgotten past. But they could not be farther from the truth…

(Hi guys, sorry for the late post. Busy. Anyways, hope you like the, ‘Totally not a Luger’ gun)
