First Italy Trip

Going to Italy for the first time this mid September. Classic tourist trip, 3 nights in Rome, 3 nights in Florence, 4 nights in Sorrento. It’s our first time so we’ll do all the normal tourist stuff (Vatican, Colosseum, Uffizi, Accademia Gallery, Vesuvius, etc.).

Other than the obvious stuff above, what else should we do? What else shouldn’t we do? I really would like to avoid as many tourist traps as possible. I’m 30 and my buddy who is also 30 is coming with me. Meeting my parents there as well. We have 3 different Airbnbs all in the downtown area of each city we’re staying in.

I have the normal first time must see stuff booked but want suggestions on any other stuff we should do (especially restaurants). For example we are going to a AC Milan game.

Thanks!
