King Seiko 5625-7040 from 1972

Bought to mark the start of my first corporate job. Fell in love with the modern design despite the 5 decade age of the watch itself. This kind of design that has lasted decades and still looks modern. It’s always fun to ask people how old think think your watch is, people always gauge 2000’s+ plus only to be shocked.

Something many people don’t capture is the depth of the dial, with the applied indices and the faceted crystal and sharp case edges. A stunner in the light
