Is the battle pass any worth?

I was wondering if there's any interesting stuff in here because from what I see it really doesn't seem so. Still, I'm considering getting it just to get the Tekken coins for a skin that I like but I'm not sure what to do.

Also, when does it end? Because the game says there are 7 days ish left but idk if that's for the quests, the battle pass itself or what

Thanks in advance!

How to effectively lab against cheese?

Hi there, I'm trying to get to Tekken God, currently at Emperor/ King with the Mishimas (the 5 of them) and despite being only one or two ranks away, I feel like it's going to be a long way, because I don't know a lot of matchups. I feel like most matches that I lose, I lose because idk the matchup. However, I never labbed before, ngl, I find it extremely boring. But I feel like I need to do it now because I just get knowledge checked all the time.

The thing is that idk know where to start in order to lab a character. Should I check a guide on each character's best moves and then see how I can punish them? Or is there any go to method to lab efficiently? I have even considered playing the character I want to lab for a bit because that way I might learn about said character. Any ideas?

Thank you in advance!

Finally TK with all Mishimas!

I started playing these guys this season for the first time, and even though I know about rank inflation I gotta say this wasn't that easy!

Mishimas are great so fun to play and I believe I'm getting better at the game just by playing these fellas. If any Mishima players wanna teach me how to get to higher ranks with any of them I'd love to learn more!

Do you get penalties for dc'ing in private matches?

I was playing with a friend in these private matches where you create your own lobby and all that. I got disconnected from the Steam servers for some reason (happened a couple times these days, weird) and I got the message saying my last match didn't finish properly or whatever and that I'd get a penalty.

I found this strange, do you really lose points from ranked matches if you disconnect in a private match? I get that they try to punish pluggers but it doesn't seem to make much sense to lose points from ranked in a non ranked format. Does it really just work like that?

Thanks in advance!

As Kazuya, what can you do when the opponent mashes like crazy?

It's no secret that this character is hard as hell. He's giving me a headache to the point that I wonder if he's worth playing...

Anyways, the thing is that people mash like CRAZY in this game as y'all probably now. Given that I don't see any good panic moves with Kaz, I'm wondering, is there anything you can do effectively under pressure? Like idk, kbd, powercrush etc? I can think of some options but I'd like to know which is best with Kaz. So far my most effective weapon has been checking with 1,1 and then follow up with the 2 if they connect. But this is very ineffective with evasive characters or people who duck a lot/ throw many high evasion moves.

Any more ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Why does Kazuya's electric sometimes throw opponents super high?

I was checking Kazuya's combos as I'm learning him now. I see that some people follow df+2 CH with an electric and they send the opponent quite high in the air.

I never manage to do this and when I try it the electric does connect but the opponent barely takes off the floor. Why does this happen? Today I've managed to do it totally by accident during a match but I still don't see the difference with my regular electrics. Initially I thought it was a perfect electric but when I checked my replay I saw it wasn't.

Any explanations? I'd like to add this to my combo route for df+2 CH but idk how to make it consistently since idk the cause...

Thanks in advance!

How can an electric like this be a punish?

Alright so that last electric input that you see was used to punish a -15 move (Law's d2,3). I got the message saying "punish", meaning it was indeed a punish so I assume this means it was a 15 frames electric.

However, as you can see in command history, f was pressed for 4 frames. If electric is supposed to be 11 frames + input frames, how is it possible that it was 15 frames and "punish" if I had pressed f for 4 frames? That should make it at least 17 frames (4 frames f, 1 neutral, 1 d and then the 11 frames after pressing df+2) according to command history.

I'd like to understand this, any explanations?

How do "input frames" relate to "startup frames"

I'm trying to understand the game better and this question just crossed my mind.

When you go to practice and activate command history, it shows for how long you press each button by giving you a number of frames. At the same time each move has "startup frames" as a jab being an i10 for example.

Now to understand what I mean, let's take a "difficult" or complex input move, such as giant swing or electric.

When I try to electric for example, the number of frames displayed next to each button is never 1. It may be somewhere between 4 to 10 or something like that. However the electric is typically an i15 move (unless it's a perfect electric).

My question then is, how can an electric be a i15 when, according to command history, I'm pressing the input buttons (f,n,d,df+2) for more than one frame each?

I'm guessing then electric would be 15 frames PLUS the frames it took you to input it. However this would make it almost impossible to punish a -15 move with an electric (unless you do a perfect electric) and I see some people doing this consistently.

I think I must be wrong somewhere iny assumptions but idk where. Can someone explain to me how this works? I'm probably being so stupid and overlooking something obvious but this sounds quite confusing to me.

Thanks in advance!

I know the defense against this is supposed to be SSL but it is NOT working for me AT ALL.

I have tried EVERYTHING against this move and idk what to do anymore. Can't backdash or sidestep, it's a launcher, plus on block, basically homing and long range. What the hell is this move's weakness supposed to be??
