Currently using Fibrinosilyn ointment to scab off the dark slough as surgeon instructed. I see no red flags, and I have no pain now. Everything is great except this.

I had a pilonidal sinus surgery 3 weeks ago, For the first few days my doctor told me to rinse inside the cavity with lukewarm water, dry, 3 drops of betadine and then tetracycline 3% ointment, and pack gauze inside, No pain in the first week. I kept my hygiene perfect.

Then as my doctor had told me in our appointment, it's been 7 days since I am applying Fibrinolysin ointment inside the cavity with a clean Q tip and dab gently but i do not pack gauze inside anymore i just cover the wound with sterile gauze and tape it. However since I started that I've been having bad pain whenever I move, or want to stand up or lay down. Though i can control it with painkillers...but the pain while shifting/moving is bad and uncomfortable. No red flags or suspicious drainage yet....

also that Fibrinolysin ointment is for melting away the dark slough but I haven't seen major changes yet
