Jobs that are always hiring?

Hi all,

I seen a post on this sub a while ago about someone who said about certain jobs always hiring and they use it as a back up, think one was a bus driver and the other a smart meter installer that included training etc?

Anyone got any recommendations for jobs that provide training that are always hiring?

Im 35 years old, start a new renovation business this year which was going well but sadly think me and my business partner have different ideas on the way forward and regarding money etc so dont think its going to work.

Ive had many jobs over the past 15 years and enjoyed a wide range of sectors, always wanted to try my own thing and ive given it a go but think im not good enough to make it work so starting to accept im going to need to put the dreams away and get a stable job to support my wife and son!

Any help or advice regarding new carer paths would be greatly appericated!

Can someone please clarify the tax set up for a LTD company?

Help with Tax/Accounts

Hi all,

I am having a wee freak out and just wanted some advice!

I own a small renovation company,a limited company in Scotland, we are now into our 3rd month of trading and things going well.

I have an accountant who set up my business and handles the payroll (just for 2 directors who own 50% of the company each) and they have been great!

Last night I couldnt sleep because I cant help but feel ive mucked up and i cant call my accountant until Tuesday so thought I'd come to reddit.

Our business bank account is with mettle, and they have a thing where they recommend 20% of money comes into the business account goes into our tax pot.

But 20% off our income put to one side is a fair bit, and from my understanding as a limited company we only pay tax on our profits after all our expenses are taking away?

We are NOT VAT registered and we won't hit the £90k threshold this year so i dont need to worry about paying VAT this year.

We pay ourselves a monthly salary and pay NI and PAYE to HMRC so thats grand.

We dont plan to turn a profit this year, because any profit we may have will be going straight back into the business for new tools and equipment etc.

So with that being said do i need to put 20% a side from each job for tax?

I thought i had everything sorted and planned out, but for whatever reason I have a little panic thinki g I'd mucked up and that ill get a big tax bill end of our first year and I should be keeping 20% a side!!

Think the stress and lack of sleep at the start of this business has got to me!

Please help chill my mind today haha
