Please take the time to read this! Half-anni is come, and here is my post and thoughts about FFS! A love letter to FFS, too!

Hello, I'm the Deep Impact/Auguste Rodin/Sweep Tosho/Heart's Cry/Frankel/others RPer (call me in OOC Aperdinal) and here is some history drop of mine.

Okay okay so I might not be as known as some of the people around here and I might not be as well liked as the others, but hear me out on my story: I deeply appreciate and consider myself as a huge part of FFS history and quickly grew to love RPing a lot again, you know? So here is my experience, that you can read, starting from this paragraph below. Here we go!

So.. I joined shortly after the time of the Japan Cup, which was around during the Umaddit era, specifically the Teio arc. You may know me because the first character and the most notable one that I RP (the character I am known to most here in FFS) is none other than... Deep Impact! Introduced her with an arc (originally was supposed to be Kaneko wall angst), scrapped that arc quickly in favor of more freedom, which also had her own yandere arc (the 20 days Arc) which was not really well written and executed well... Looking back at it in the year 2026.

I then quickly expanded to other characters. Fusaichi Pandora (trainer Pandora of Team Gift), Easy Goer (the plushie), Sweep Tosho, Still In Love, Equinox (the one that died) and Do Deuce (I'll get the Equinox arc continued), Chrono Genesis, Auguste Rodin (the account you are reading now!) and many others.

Witnessed some events like the Umaddit miragtion to FFS. I saw a bunch of dramas during my time here and even today, which at times I didn't like the server and the people around it which made me dislike this subreddit at times... Such as getting ignored in RP/not getting too much interactions, bad plot and bad writing/execution, And me wanting to make another subreddit a couple of times but not going through it because looking at it now I can deeply appreciate it.

There I did suffer RP burnout at times because of RPing so many characters at once, which, well, made me nuke all of my characters (remember) and "retire" them for a while (when in reality, it was just a short vacation and I returned some of them to RP again), which I am still recovering from to this day to try to balance RP

But I quickly missed RPing, that is why I returned to RPing with Silence Suzuka! Shortly after, I also did a lot of things which include but are not limited to: returned Sweep Tosho, introduced Heart's Cry in Team Lucky which I appreciate their dynamic in Team Lucky, Made Deep Impact a trainer (while I haven't gone through actually being one, and scouted some umamusume as trainees, maybe we'll get through that) and finally date Symboli Kris S (KuriPui is my OTP by the way in terms of Symboli Kris S, sorry Symboli Kris S x Cesario, Zenno Rob Roy, Tanino Gimlet fans), Introduced Kurofune/Perry Steam (in love with Agnes Digital)! Daiwa Major, King Kamehameha, made Auguste Rodin my main RPer, and more recently: Frankel, the legendary British umamusume, and World Premiere, the overlooked stayer.

After my return to FFS, I then wanted to balance my characters a little more and develop more arcs, but I still feel an inferior complex to you all guys. Like I sometimes feel and still feel to this day, that FFS is a closed friend group and I have to talk in discord to be, included. But I am quickly realizing today that maybe I don't have to be.. active 24/7. This is true nowadays because I got more busy and I don't have time to RP, having another friend group on Pakacord #irl-horses that shares my interest in horse racing, and overall sometimes RP burnout hitting again.

Moral of the story:

Maybe you just need to roleplay your way.

Here's to another year! + appreciation

I see a lot of people be dedicated to their life and be changed by something as small and niche as UmamusumeFFS, for the positive. I read a lot of other half-anni posts, and feel that they geniunely love this subreddit. I've realized a lot of things, I've grown a lot mentally since December, and I'm trying to keep myself from being bad mentally. Thank you to all of you for making UmamusumeFFS full of life in the first place. The fights in subreddits in some accounts, the races that go, run by Amado Hikari and a few others of course, how relationship/personality dynamics go, how interesting character arcs or plot arcs can be in general, and lastly, and mostly important of all: how interactive this place generally is.

Let me get one point straight here: umamusume FFS. It isn't perfect. It has its roughs. It has its dramas in history. But don't go all around, doomposting, and just try to think that everything is bad. You can appreciate both it's good and bad sides. And we, as a community, can move on. Handle the drama properly. And most importantly, appreciate the things that you have, you never know how the future will go!

Here's to another half-year, hopefully another year, and optimistically another decade! We can do this!

Love, Aperdinal (the person behind all of your characters that you enjoy)/Deep Impact/Auguste Rodin/Frankel 💙

I spent around 5 hours thinking about FFS and typed a lot of my thoughts into this, so again thank you so much, and I love you all, stay safe <3
