Honestly, in season 1, Lori was just awful. She was just the annoying oldest, always on her phone, making Lincoln's life miserable.
But when you watch the show now? She's the only one who actually feels like an adult. The transition to college, how she handles the pressure of being the oldest of 11 kids, and her genuine friendship with Lincoln, that's really good writing, in my opinion.
