Examples of good practice in digital based classrooms?

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if any of you can share what good practice or strategies you have seen being used effectively in digital classrooms, I.E. classrooms with computers in as a majority, so I am thinking Graphic Design, Comp Sci, 3d design maybe, things like that.

Especially around behaviour management, but I am also interested in best practices around breaking up the lesson and acknowledging "yes, this is a computer room." "No, we're not gaming."

Do schools ever approve unpaid leave?

Was chatting with a friend of mine today who works private sector and we got to talking about the difference between 6 weeks holiday verses just booking annual leave as and when you like.

He said: "Couldn't you ask for unpaid leave." when we were talking about the huge price difference and I was like: "ERm... I don't think... schools do that... Do they?" Do they?

Is a temporary TLr offered, or asked for?

I have seen a few posts that talk about the difference between temporary and permanent TLR.

I assume for example, a permanent TLR would be something offered with, say, a HOD position or HOF role.

But what are temporary TLR's for? For example, if I was hoping to explore a curriculum opportunity could I approach the head and say look... I have this idea, this is why I think it would work. I would like to explore it...

Because I do have a good idea and I think it would really work for the school.

But to be blut reddit, I don't think I'm paid enough to take it on on my own as it stands on my current wages.

am I living in the world of make believe, does this sort of thing ever happen?
