Beginner Tier List

Credit to Sahagin Dazs from the official Discord for the beginner tier guidance.

This beginner list is mainly for Rate-Up LV 2 and below. The meta changes, and high-end teams are different, so check Discord for the newest late-game tier lists.

Quick beginner notes:

  • SW / Starlight Weaver is the recommended first Xeno focus and becomes a staple in mid-late game teams.
  • If you do not want to start with SW, MK or VW are the usual alternatives.
  • PC is more of a late-game hero. Once Lich is available, start thinking about building PC alongside that setup.
  • ID is a strong tank for getting through mid game.
  • SS is useful for crit rate early, but becomes less important later as more crit options open up.
  • Robot and SM are good early fighters but tend to fall off before deeper progression.
  • Cheffy is a strong early healer until your SW setup comes online.
  • DS can look strong early, but falls off hard. Avoid overinvesting unless you know why you are doing it.
  • BA has crit damage utility, but later teams often replace that role.
  • IW can be useful, especially around PC + Lich teams because of Ice RES reduction.
  • Avoid investing heavily into low-tier heroes unless you need a specific passive or niche use.

First off - JOIN THE DISCORD, STOP POSTING LINEUP HELP QUESTIONS ON REDDIT. WE HAVE TONS OF GUIDES AND CONTENT AVAILABLE TO HELP YOU PROGRESS:

https://discord.gg/wittledefender

This tier list is for Rate-Up LV 2 and below.

Focus on SW as your first Xeno Hero. She is a staple in all mid-late game teams. If you absolutely dont want to, choose MK or VW.

PC is a late game hero, once you get Lich available, you should start building him as well.

Odin has very strong EX weapon burst, but has little late game utility.

ID is very strong tank to help you get through Mid game

SS gives you Crit Rate buff, which is helpful, but as you progress, she becomes less usable because there are too many Crit Rate options available.

Robot and SM are good fighters for early game, but will drop off before Chapter 200 or so.

Cheffy is strong healer until you can build your SW. You should focus on putting Devine Revival runes on your other supports to supplement her healing. She is completely worthless in late game.

DS seems like he's going to be a monster, but falls off hardest of any hero. Don't invest him past 1D in my opinion because you won't have a need for him in Mid/Late game.

BA has Crit DMG buff, but gets beaten out by Lyra and AA in later teams.

IW is a decent DPS and is very helpful for PC+Lich teams because of her Ice RES- passive.

Seraph is worse than Cheffy and should only be used early games or to help get Electro teams extra healing until you get Valk, etc, who have their own healing kits.

C tier has some late game utility because of their passive buffs (DMG+, RES-). I would avoid PK as a beginner and focus on SW (ideal) or the other two.

D tier, just dont even bother. They are worthless at early/mid/late game with no redeeming qualities.
