Is getting a draw rate less than the advertised rate common?
I feel like I'm constantly staying at 1.8 to 2% draw rate no matter which cards I'm using .. is there some trick I'm missing or do you really have to spend 800 freaking cards to get a single celestial 🙃
Squatters living in house owed by my late fathers estate stole his truck and police won't let it be reported stolen?
Location: South Carolina, USA
Currently dealing with a situation where my father passed away mid-June and immediately afterwards squatters got into his residence and are currently residing in the home. We have probate started The will has been validated and now we are playing the 8 month waiting game to see if anybody brings a debt forward. The issue is that his truck was at his house when he died so were his keyS.... now these individuals are using his vehicle like it's theirs. We spoke to The police department with jurisdiction over the house shortly after he died who told us sorry sounds like a civil issue because we can't prove they didn't have permission to live there and use the truck. Cool. Well that was before probate had been initiated we now have the death certificate we have all the paperwork showing that we have to manage the estate blah blah blah well the car insurance has lapsed The insurance carrier won't let us renew the policy because we put them on notice that my father had died and let them know about the unlisted driver to try and do the right thing to prevent the claim being denied if he did wreck it. Well they obviously want us to put the unlisted driver on the policy which we can't do because we don't have enough information for their underwriting. We've tried to contact the people living at the house and using his truck and they're not willing to correspond with us so we call the police department again now that we have all the paperwork to show that we have agency over the estate and they're still refusing to let us report the truck stolen. I get squatter's law where actively working on that with magistrate to try to get an eviction. But what the hell do we do about this truck? We can't get it back The people aren't willing to talk to us we can't insure it with another carrier and lie about someone else driving it not trying to commit insurance fraud to avoid a lawsuit for this guy hitting someone in an uninsured vehicle. Police are being not very helpful very nonchalant don't really want anything to do with it pushing it off to the next guy who pushes it off to the next guy kind of crap but there's literally someone who has 50 plus drug charges on his record driving around in an uninsured vehicle that he does not have permission to use and this has been expressed to both him and the police but they won't do anything. Is there a way for us to like forfeit this vehicle to mitigate our liability? We have a state attorney who says they're working on some things with the court but I guess they're not getting very good answers either at this point so I figured I would shout into the void to see if anybody had advice on what steps I can take to mitigate the risk or get this asshole out of this truck. Like fuck this truck idk care if we ever see it again, I just don't want us or the estate to be held responsible for the police refusing to prevent a convicted drug user from causing harm to anyone because they won't take action or give us any next steps or guidance as to what we should do. This is also the same county police department that refused to do a civil assist with us so that we could enter the property and look for personal effects like pictures of us as kids and shit because the squatting shit bags said no we couldn't enter the property.
I know this is becoming a bit of a rant, for that I'm very sorry. I'm just a bit of a mess, I'm writing this sitting beside the box holding my late fathers ashes stressed to the max. These people have tried to cash checks from his check book that was at his house, luckily we had already gotten the account locked down so they got told to screw off but of course they didn't get arrested because why would they. I can't go through my father's things, they're actively using his truck that I can't get insured and The people who are supposed to protect and serve or unwilling to protect and or serve. The attorney I have I feel like they're doing the best they can but things are just happening so fast in our court system moves so freaking slow but damage just keep racking up. We don't have much money so we can't really change attorneys The estate doesn't have much money my dad was not rich I mean we're talking we have like 16,000 between all of his accounts that truck and his house that's it they're using the house and the truck so I'm already probably going to have to freaking deal with the estate being insolvent to medical bills because we know he has a lot of those.. any tips or actions I can take or even just ideas are very appreciated
