Everse8 sounds poor when using line in with MacBook?

Hey all, I have an 1/8 to XLR cable from my MacBook to the Everse and the sound is pretty bad. The audio sounds like it’s clipping or pushing the everse too hard, but I do not experience this whatsoever when using my microphone or Bluetooth.

Any idea what setting I may need to adjust? Could be a bum cable, but it’s new.

I’m new to the speaker, but maybe I’m doing something incorrectly.

Tired of lugging my 15” tops around for ceremony and moving it to cocktail/reception. Would Alto TX408 work well for a ceremony setup?

Getting too old (or lazy) or continue hauling my 15 inch tops all over properties that have separate reception/cocktail hour/reception areas. Thinking about buying an Alto TX408 for ceremonies.

The reviews are pretty good, and it seems lightweight. Anyone have any experience with these or the brand in general?

I don’t think I’m willing to spend $700+ on a more premium brand- I’d just continue what I’m doing now. But the price on these is super reasonable.

Would love any feedback or insight!

Looking for a way to be more efficient in my electrical setup.

Hey all, looking to be more time efficient in my setup if possible. Maybe you have some suggestions. I use a facade like this and my controller sits on the table portion. I feel like a huge chunk of time is spent on wiring everything up and tearing down. I wonder if there is a more efficient way. Here is a description of my setup.

I bring all power cords and cables in my cable bag. I set my speakers and subs up, running the cables from the controller to mixer, mixer to subs via 1/4 cables, and subs into tops via XLR. This requires me to unpack 4 power cables, 2 1/4 inch cables, 2 XLRs each time. Then I plug in all accessories like the mixer, mic setup, etc.

I wonder if it’s possible to have a more permanent setup with the facade I use. I don’t use a road case for the controller, so I don’t think the cables have anywhere really to live permanently.

Maybe I answered my own question, but I thought I’d see what you all do.

Thanks!
