Another first time quilt post!
I started my sewing hobby about a year ago mostly making men's shirts for myself out of fun quilting cottons and have since made a faux fur lounge (and grocery store) coat and a jacket from a fun geometric upholstery fabric. I got the itch to try a quilt and drafted my own pattern from some references based on a log cabin block pattern. Little did I realize what I was in for matching all the corners up!
Finished size should be right at 48" x 72" perfect as a couch throw but longer to actually cover feet!
The quilt shop was out of the lightest blue so I assembled what I could and went back when it came in.
I went with the speckle for the backing but I also looked at a dark gray solid and a cross hatched fabric as well.
I'm not sure if I want a diagonal diamond pattern or squares for the quilting pattern.
