I'm struggling to find someone knowledgable to critique my showreel

I really want feedback, from someone who understands the business, how things are today, actor branding and marketing, who can look at my material through the buyers lens, and knows where the money is, so to speak. And preferably who understands the UK market.

I've heard of a a couple people who are actors' mentors but none have really strikes me as being sharp enough for me to trust their advice, to be honest.

So I wanna open up to floor to recommendations.

Many thanks!

First time booked as stand in

I just got booked as stand in for the first time. I'll be standing in tomorrow. It's a one day thing, right now, but could become more days.

For those of you on here who have stand in experience: what are some things I need to know? Things you wished you knew when you started ? Do's and Don'ts ?

Dry Blue Agency

Anyone on here signed with DBA (aka Dry Blue Agency)- please let me know how you've been finding it, and how busy (or not busy) they've been keeping you with self tapes. And also what kind of projects they get you in for.

Thank you in advance !

I'm making plans to leave my agent. I've been with them since Jan. They are mid tier, ok on paper kinda vibe. But it's been really bad for me. Not a single straight TV or Film audition since signing. A part of me whats to give them at least 6-9 months, an other part of me is like, 'pack your sh*t and run'- without even having a 'come to Jesus' chat. Because why would we ? The data is clear: business is bad between them and me.

Any way, what is your thoughts? Stick around a little longer, or hit the road ?

X
