So I was reading about this song, and it originally is a poem so it has lyrics even though the version in-game (and most famous one) is instrumental only.

It's a poem about a forbidden love and missing one's dear, and what really hit me, is that in it, the birds are singing a lamentation on behalf of the lover/singer. And I thought it made so much sense, given how the whole game is birds tormented by a tragic love on behalf of a lover that can't reach her other half.

What are your lore theories for the discrepancy between Ariane's notes, and the two crashed Penrose 512 ships ?

Notably, in the prologue a note mention being still in the 6000s cycles, and the Penrose is crashed on a snowy planet.

Later we get notes where in the 5000s cycles it's going really bad. From the Penrose crashed under Sierpinski.

And there's another one that mentions 200k cycles, implying extended cryo use or bioresonance ?

Also the notes in the last visit to the Penrose mention Ariane being increasingly weak, bored and almost sick already at cycle 2500, do you think she felt like this despite being with Elster or are the notes unreliable in some way ? She looks very happy at cycle 3000 but it might be because she's with Elster and she thinks the mission will change.

I've read multiple theories about the ship's location and eventual bioresonant translocation, but what about the actual timeline Ariane and Elster went through ? (I suppose Elster didn't survive 700 years so there's that but still, did they get 5000 or 6000 cycles before it became horrible ?

So the game was recommended to me by lesbians on the internet, I loved the mood of the fanarts, and understood it was great so I didn't spoil myself at all.

I actually imagined something completely different honestly.

And so I played it, finished it yesterday. And through the tears that haven't really stopped since then, I went to look at more content, fanart, read about what the devs said about it and stuff, and learned about 5/12. So I finished the game unknowingly on Signalis day.

So yeah good synchronicity to finish off this experience. Thanks lesbians on the internet, I hope to one day recover from it lol.
