Beginner-ASL Learner help
I'm a high school student in my first semester of ASL. I signed up because I actually wanted to learn the language and culture, not just check off a graduation requirement. I understand that immersion is an important part of learning, but I feel like being given videos with no subtitles, captions, or explanation of what’s being signed isn't always the best way to teach beginners, especially students who are still learning ASL as a second language.
Just to clarify, I'm not looking for someone to do my homework. This video is actually part of a study guide for a different video that will be used for our test. I successfully completed and understood the main lesson video, but I'm completely stuck on this one. My concern is that if I can't understand the study guide video, I probably won't understand the test video either, which makes it hard to know what I should be learning from this lesson.
I've been doing a lot of learning on my own outside of class, and normally I can work my way through most of the videos my teacher assigns. This one, though, has me completely stumped. I'm having a hard time matching the signs to the facial expressions and non-manual markers being used, and it's throwing me off. I feel like the signer is showing expressions that don't always line up with what I think is being signed, so I'm not sure if I'm missing something important.
I'm hoping someone with more ASL experience could help me translate or transcribe the video, or at least help me understand the overall message so I can actually learn from it and be prepared for the test.

Thanks in advance! I'm genuinely trying to learn ASL and improve, and I'd really appreciate any guidance.
