Should I use the OpenCode desktop, or fork it?
I have honestly been quite out of the loop with the newest LLMs and what new trends for the past year (I know it's bad 😅), I've only been using Antigravity's IDE which is included from their Student campaign (but it's very limited). But very recently, I want to upgrade my harness and use a more proper configuration for my ever-increasing workload and needs.
I came across OpenCode after doing a bit of research, where I was originally considering to use Claude Code, but thought OpenCode had a more flexible approach and maybe even more configuration/personalization(?). I would love to try it first, and potentially look at what models I'd invest in afterwards.
As someone whose main work involves bug fixing and adding features to company projects, and I recently want to start creating personal projects, which approach would be better for me? I am not that hardcore where I need to configure every little settings and add a bunch of plug-ins for my environment, but it's an option I would also love to have if I were to make it more suited for myself. Any other suggestions or maybe even recommendations based on your personal setups would be appreciated as well!
(P.S. Sorry if any of the terminologies are incorrect hahah!)
