Don't fall for the trap: Why Narae is NOT the ultimate support for Mina anymore (Netmarble's classic bait & switch)

Hey everyone,
I’ve been closely tracking Narae since the beta, planning to pair her with my Mina for the "ultimate sister duo" team. But after analyzing the official kit and recommended artifacts shown during the recent global dev stream, I need to share a massive reality check.
Netmarble completely altered her role compared to what the lore and the beta promised, and they are using a very classic, cynical gacha marketing strategy to cover it up.
Here is the breakdown of why she went from a 100% must-have to a total skip for my Fire team, and why you should think twice before burning your crystals on June 3rd.
1. The Recommended Artifact is a Mono-Ice Trap 🧊
Take a close look at the official artifact kit recommendation (Plains Embroidering Dew):
Line 1: When granting a shield, the ally's Basic Attack DMG increases. (Fine, Mina gets this).
Line 2: « If that teammate is an ICE character, their Crit DMG increases and their Ultimate Gauge Charge increases. »
This is where they completely killed her synergy with Fire. In beta, she felt like a universal support. Now, her highest-value buffs (Crit DMG and Ult battery) are strictly locked behind the Ice element.
Because Mina is Fire, she completely misses out on the best part of the kit. Netmarble deliberately restricted this to stop Narae from being a universal meta support, forcing you into a corner.
2. The Free Ophelia "Gift" was an Anesthetic 🤫
A lot of people were praising Netmarble for giving us Ophelia for free. It makes total sense now. It wasn't a generous gift; it was a calculated move to soften the blow.
They gave us Ophelia (Ice) for free so that when they dropped Narae's Ice-restricted kit, players would think: "Oh, well, at least I have Ophelia to use her with!" It’s a textbook bait-and-switch to create a need for a Mono-Ice team and push you to pull for future Ice DPS characters down the line
