SR22 annuals cost

I know its hard to say what the annual cost on sr22 because obviously it depends.

I'm just trying to get an idea or a range i shall say people pay on their annuals. i just bought a 2004 SR22 and frankly I am scared and nervous thinking about what it may cost me just to keep up with the maintenance.

SR vs Mooney

I know I know. Both are very different planes but I am having a hard time deciding.

I'll try to make it short. I am in the market for a plane. Looked at a few mooney planes and I feel like it'll be perfect for me and the wife to travel in going to FK, gulf shores, New Orleans, Texas for weekend getaway trips. Would want to fly to CA 1-2 per year visiting parents. I live in the Midwest. The mooney will do the job i think.

Now, I am also thinking a SR22 would be better plane because I could dry lease it to other part 91 ops and make $$. There are several SR22 in my home based airport that are killing it. making great $$ hauling ppl. they're doing 134.5 which i won't. i will dry lease and still make decent money. the problem is that the SR22 maintenance cost scare the crap out of me. Seems to me like as soon as the SR22 reaches TBO hours the engines crap out. Literally 3 SR22 getting the overhaul at TBO hours. Another one had the overhaul a few months ago and it has been nothing but problematic for the owner.

I guess I'm wanting opinions on the SR22 maintenance vs mooney. are the SR22 just more high maintenance or I'm just around 3-4 bad ones?
