How do people get line scores of 80-90's?
Just got up this morning at 7:00am to go disqualify myself from jobs. My first ASVAB attempt was a AFQT of 65. Didn't study, and had to wait 4 hours in the middle of taking it cause servers went down at MEPS. Didn't really try as I was so tired about 60% through it.
Just went to do my retake today, and came back with a 56. I have no idea where to start. I'm trying to get at least a 65+ for General and 70+ for Electronics. And I just spent weeks learning Ohm's law, power equations, learning all the symbols of schematic diagrams, and was asked only one question about it.
I've been using the book ASVAB for dummies 2026-2027 version. Using Grammar Hero, online ASVAB practice tests, and YouTube ASVAB playlists, even AI to help explain concepts more in-depth, and giving me 100 practice question tests specifically in one category and the things I learned I felt made up of 30% of the test.
I would love some feedback on how to at least get a couple 70 scores, mainly in General and Electronics. Apparently learning Ohm's law, schematic diagrams and symbols, and power formulas are not needed as I only got 1 question regarding all those topic's combined after spending countless hours learning them all.
