TJO withdrawn

Lost the job offer over the polygraph. I told the truth, and took the polygraph in good faith. I was highly qualified for the job, years of previous law enforcement, current fed employee, military veteran, college degree, no criminal record, and ultimately lost the job because of subjective interpretation of results produced by a machine that the supreme court ruled, in United States vs. Scheffer, that polygraphs were unreliable.

Really disappointing, I’m the sole bread winner of my house, i have a 4 kids, a 5th due in December, and a wife who no longer works because we can no longer afford child care. And we are barely making ends meet because I’m only a GS7. This was a huge missed opportunity, snatched away because the job goes all the way to GS13.

But what else can be done, right?

My advice to those in the TJO/pre-employment phase, don’t get your hopes up just yet.

OIG Job postings

Can any current fed employees know when their agencies are going to be posting for OIG spots? I’m currently 1802 with another agency, but i’m trying to move up the GS ladder, and currently at my agency its a dead end gig.
