Players that should never be called up to the national team anymore. (My List)

- Cristante

- Mancini

- Politano

- Raspadori

- Di Lorenzo

- Scamacca

- Retegui

- Chiesa

- Frattesi

When the new coach arrives, these are the players that should have no business wearing the national team Jersey anymore. If there are other players you'd like to add to this list, comment their name below. Im interested in what you guys think of this list.

Hear me out, the national was going through a rough patch back in the day during the 50s and 60s as well.

1950- Group stage exit

1954- Group stage exit

1958- Did not qualify

1962- Group stage exit

1966- Group stage exit

Now compare that with current day Italy

2010- Group stage exit

2014- Group stage exit

2018- Did not qualify

2022- Did not qualify

2026 Did not qualify

Back then, It took Italy 5 world cup cycles before finally getting past the group stage in the 1970 World Cup. If this pattern applies to current day Italy, could they finally shake off this curse and qualify to reach the knock outs in 2030? God, I can only hope so.

To sum up the article in short, these are the five things Serie A clubs want from the new FIGC president:

  1. Incentives or tax relief measures to support investment in Italys u23 players

  2. Lift the ban on direct and indirect betting advertising

  3. A percentage of betting revenue allocated to football

  4. Incentives for new stadiums through a streamlined bureaucratic process

  5. financial or tax aid support for investment in coach education, as well as changes to the youth leagues’ formats, including Primavera.
