The weird over sexualization
Okay, serious question but is anyone else even slightly uncomfortable or weirded out by just how many suggestive depictions there are of Hikaru and Yoshiki? Like I feel like ever since people saw the scene of Yoshiki putting his arm into Hikaru's chest cavity people have just ran with the idea of the two being intimate with one another. And while I do understand that yes, teens can obviously be intimate with one another and obviously the whole scene that I just mentioned is an innuendo of sexual exploration, yadda, yadda, it's still a bit off putting seeing just how many art works or even talks about the two really hone in on the two being actively sexual in some way. And I think for the most part this stems from the "yoai-fication" of the series as surprise, surprise when people see two guys in media who are together or are hinted to be together in some way people jump at the possibility to sexualize them. And normally I would just roll my eyes to this but it's weirder when for Hikaru and Yoshiki as they are minors. Idk all in all I'm kinda getting tired of seeing half cut imagines of two being pressed against a wall, them buying condoms, or seeing even them covered in bite marks while being all flushed in the face. (And yes those were quite literally the first few posts I saw here alone) 😒 Overall, while I am glad there is no overly explicit stuff on here (aka full on rule34 stuff) the degree of what does appear is not exactly all that good either.
