Wasn't this supposed to be an action combat game?

Wasn't this supposed to be an action combat game?

Came back to the game after I don't know how many years and ended up playing a candy crush simulator in the bottom right corner of the screen while ignoring what's actually happening in the fight.

It's odd, because the game has all these well designed bosses and action combat mechanics like the matrix, but with the amount of i-frames the newer characters give you, you might as well be fighting a punching bag.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy playing, but I think I'll stick to older units.
