Haven't been to the north east in over 2 decades, and my memory is we saw wombats at what is now Narawntapu N.P. lovely buggers. Wanna see some more.
Thing is, that was before mange was a big problem. Is there still a family or two there? The tas nat parks Web doesn't showcase them, tend to think that's indicative :-(
We're older now, mobility restricted so Cradle Mt is out. Maria Island might work on a tour. Not keen on the refuge option but it may be more realistic.
