(I accidentally skipped yesterday, so today is 2. It is what it is)

Cate: Almost there… I think. I don’t know anymore. I can hardly see the ground in front of me.

Light: We have to keep moving. Every second we pause we put ourselves in more danger.

[Cate stops suddenly.]

Cate: [Pointing at a shadowy figure on the horizon] what is that?

Light: Wait a minute…

[The figure comes closer into view. It looks exactly like Light, but… more malevolent.]

Cate: HUH?

Light: That’s impossible…That can’t be me…

[The creature is an Eidolon. It mimics the darkest form of an individual. In this case, it is Light when he was still acting as Kira. (Note: “Kira” will be used as the name for the fake Light, don’t get confused)]

Kira: [His eyes glowing red, with a black book clutched under his arm.] What have I happened upon here? A fallen god? Pathetic. Both of you.

Light: Begone, monster.

Kira: I’m the monster, am I? You’re the one who killed thousands of people. You’re the one who killed her. [He points at Cate].

Cate: I’ve moved past that.

Kira: Have you? [He steps closer and closer to her] You’re telling me that you don’t want to punch me- or rather him- in the face for what he’s done? For the situation he’s put you in? Don’t lie.

Cate: He can’t do it again.

Kira: But he would. If he could have kept you dead he would have.

Light: T-That’s not true…

Kira: Monsters like him don’t feel remorse.

Light: …

Cate: Begone, Kira.

Kira: I’m not Kira. I’m not even real. The real Kira is standing right next to you. In this land, full of malevolent creatures he is the true monster.

Light: I’m not Kira anymore.

Kira: Present actions can’t change past harm.

Light: Kira is dead.

Kira: You don’t mean that! You’re still the same, you’ve not changed. People don’t change unless it’s for the worse.

Cate: No… Kira is dead.

Light: Begone!

[The fake Light vanishes in a wisp of dust.]

Hey guys since I’m starting to pick up more traction with Light I just wanted to say that I don’t mean anything he says as something out of character.

His character is an asshole, so acting like that is in character for him. I feel bad sometimes because I feel like I’m being too mean.

And while I’m sure lots of you realize I mean no genuine harm I just thought I’d say it again.

[Cate and Light have been walking in silence since whenever they talk to each other they just end up arguing.]

Light: Can I ask you where the hell we’re going?

Cate: I could ask you the same!

Light: What?

Cate: I was following YOU!

Light: I don’t know where Tartarus is! I was following you!

Cate: So we’re freaking lost.

Light: It would seem so.

Cate: …

Light: …

Cate: …

Light: Which way do we need to go, then?

Cate: I HAVE NO IDEA! WE’RE LOST!

(Ooc: I kinda forgot in the first post but anyone can join the adventure, this is an open arc.)

Cate: So ever since Light freaking murdered me I haven’t had any of my powers back. Which is very very annoying. And I want my powers back, because I do!

If he didn’t kill me I wouldn’t be dealing with this mess! God I hate that guy.

Light: I can hear you, you know.

Cate: I don’t care if you hear me, you [insert long string of swears here]!

Light: if I could kill you again I would.

Cate: I just want my powers back. And for this guy to GO AWAY.

I have an alt here, and that alt is Light. Some of you may be shocked and others already knew, but yeah. I am however getting really tired of switching between the accounts, so I’m gonna combine them and use both characters on this account. Some exceptions may be made and I might use the Light account occasionally.

Sorry if I shocked any of you lol! I feel kinda bad ngl.

So I’m sure some of you have noticed that I haven’t been very online as of recently. Truth is I’m kind of bored with Cate?

I want new ideas and such, I don’t really want to switch characters but I do want to debuff Cate possibly. Having powers can be boring sometimes. I want real conflict, not stuff that I can usually solve myself.

If anyone has any ideas please suggest them, I’m hoping to become active once more.

u/LotusCrew5720 brought up that having post flairs for arcs would be useful so people don’t accidentally join arcs. If your arc has been mod approved, whenever you make a post about it please use the pink flair found towards the end of the list (it wouldn’t let me change where to put it on mobile, so unfortunately it’s not up top😑). Thanks guys! This just ensures people don’t accidentally interfere in arcs and can do pretty much whatever they want in one-offs.

*Cate and Matsuda were walking slowly towards a secluded area in the forest. Matsuda looked pale from blood loss (he had been shot earlier), and Cate looked exhausted from helping to heal him. She had given away a good deal of her power to save him.*

Here we are.

*She uses the last bit of strength she could muster to open a portal. That was something she had figured out how to do recently… and kept it a secret.*

Are you ready, Matsuda?

(OOC: Like Matsuda mentioned in his post we are taking a break. Cate and Matsuda will enter the portal later, so for roleplay’s sake, feel free to say goodbye, try to stop them, or just do whatever you want. We will both be offline probably tomorrow, and will be coming back whenever the chaos dies down.)

That’s it. I will be posting the finale tomorrow, just because I wanted to give Matsuda more time to go insane. Plus, it’s getting late and I worry some people may be unable to participate in the madness if I do the ending tonight.

There is a lot happening on the sub rn and it is too much for my idiot little brain to handle. I am taking a break until the chaos dies down (which could, admittedly, be never). As for Matsuda, he mentioned he may not be coming back at all, however I have no more details on the matter because that is his business.

You might be wondering what this is all about. Honestly? I’m wondering the same. What drives some of you to act out? I get being upset, but this is insane. I’m not even going to try and rationalize because really, who am I kidding? No one listens to me anyway. A sane person in a world of crazy people is shunned. So I’m going away. Not far, and close enough to protect my loved ones.
The rest of you? The ones causing this mess? You’re dead to me.

I very recently remembered that me and Matsuda never had an actual wedding! Well like technically we did but it was private, which kinda sucked. Therefore we are having a wedding part 2! It’s going to be great! Hooray. 🥳
